I also don't understand how people keep associating Franklin with CJ. CJ was a gangbanger throughout the entire game and put grove street first. We clearly see that Franklin on the other hand has a job and is very much trying to distance himself from whatever gang hes affiliated too. I mean, is Franklin even in the gang? ill-thoughts Posted January 11, 2013 Share Posted January 11, 2013 most people dislike franklin because they either dont know enough about him or they cant relate to him as an african american character. you will find that Most of the people who like him are african american or ethnic....and thats what Rockstar was going for: targeting each group of people so theres someone for everyone. of the 3, frank is the one ill play as the most because i love all things gang bang. and i dont understand why people think Frank wont be involved with gangbanging At All....or there wont be an option to do it. Franklin is basically Luis: the guy whos done his wrongs but is looking to get out of the game...only to associate with friends who are still active criminals and draw him back into the life of crime (drug wars). itll definitely be the same with Franklin if people havnt figured out LAMAR'S purpose yet. In my opinion, one middle aged white guy would have been good. And according to what I've read, bot Trevor and Michael are in their early 40's. They could have made one of them on the other side of middle age, maybe late 50's, like a Walter White or Mike (from Breaking Bad) type of character- badass old dude who doesn't take any sh*t. They may move a bit slower but then you would have to think more about how to play missions. Also, it would have been really cool to play as a female character for a change, maybe a prostitute who's trying to get out of the business, but her pimp isn't having it (I'm serious). Just to give you some totally different perspective. And of course, the third character would be a younger guy- your balanced character. I just think they could have varied them a little bit more.
