A J
No. I won't be dressing up, because I am an adult. I've only ever been to one midnight release, for Skyrim, and it was one of the most horrible things I've ever witnessed - all of these lardy, greasy haired weirdos looking at me like I was one of them. Sure, I'm a little fat and have long greasy hair, but that's NOT THE SAME THING. I'll go to the store on my quad bike, with a rifle. Wonder what people would think of that! saintsrow
Wow, lotta cosplay haters here. I guess people who like cosplay might tend to be more sociable in real world interactions, while the cosplay haters' idea of social interaction is spawncamping the noobs in multiplayer, from the comfort of their wood-paneled basement room. JK You guys do know that in the modern world, Halloween has become as much of a dress-up party for adults as for kids? It's called a trend. Yes, we can stand back in the shadows and laugh at them, but at least they are having fun. Oh, well, let's disparage them for that.
Miss Darko
At least you could easily cosplay any of the protags and not look too out of place.

Here only people under the age of 16 do it. I have never seen anyone older dress up for Halloween. Not saying it doesn't happen, but yeah.

K-E316
Wow, when did everyone become such hot sh*t all of a sudden. I'm not a cosplayer, and I'm not really fan of it, but a few months ago my friends and I were chatting about dressing up as the main protagonists of GTA at the midnight launch. I mean why not? It's not like your spending hours creating the outfit or anything. You would still look like a normal person. It's simple fun and a cool way to show up with all the hardcore GTA fans nodding of approval.

So really, the cosplay mostly would consist of repeating the various characteristic phrases of the protags that we have heard in the (hopefully multitudinous) GTAV trailers that we will have seen by the time of the midnight release. That sounds like fun to me. In fact, half the people in line may be cosplaying without even realizing it -- maybe even some of the hotshots who dissed the OP

If you go as Trevor people are going to wonder why there is a meth head at the midnight release.
Mister Pink
I wont be dressing up. However, I loved the midnight release of IV because I never realised there were so many people in my area that would even do such a thing. I live in a suburb and I went to get IV in Tesco (UK's & Ireland's Wall-Mart) and there was 30 people in queue ahead of me. There were only 30 copies. Got it at 8am next day in another Tesco for really cheap. I only paid about €30 brand new. Wont be dressing up and wont be dissing anyone who wants to either. It's all about having good fun. Vanzant
What is cosplay?. Costume play. Funny he asked. I'm usually up to date on stupid ass memes and what have you. I honestly had no idea what cosplay was when this topic was first started. Good thing I looked it up though. I thought it was some kind of gay porn option on YouTube. Irrational
I can imagine myself wearing a suit. But I think it wouldn't be suitable (no pun intended) to wear such an elegant clothing in line to a game store.

I've seen some disturbing things via Cosplay, but that's more towards the furry side of things, the gaming side is pretty funny, especially the chicks, I know a few of them who put A LOT of detail into recreating costumes, they've told me many times they'd like to go as someone from GTA, but no female characters really stand out with enough unique style. Mr.Raspberry Jam
On the last day of high school everyone dresses up, so two of my friends are going as Michael and Franklin and I'm going as a female Trevor. It's gonna be amazing.
