STOGE
i dont know why people get so pissed at this idea? i mean its DLC..............IF YOU DONT WANT IT DONT BUY IT. My main reason for this desire is that MOST zombie games are absolutlety sh*t, not because of the topic, but because of the way there made, the controls are frustrating, the camera controll is sh*t,the story or protaganists are sh*t .........you get the msg. Yes there has been lots of this and has been overdone, but its overdone CRAP(production point of view). HOWEVER...................... Rockstars rdr was the only zombie game i actually ENJOYED. With this in mind thats why i feel it would be great in gtav i mean the setting alone not to mention rockstars controls and camera set up is STREETS AHEAD of any zombie game i can think of. I would personally like the choice to buy this if it was made, however i would prefer them to concentrate on other dlc first, perhaps a different city or more heist etc but EVENTUALLY i would love to see zombies due rockstars take on this

BlackNoise
Part of me is just tired of zombies, but GTA V will be the best open world, so I'm curious to see how zombies would be in a quality game that has vehicles and modern weapons. It's not a big deal to me either way, but I do hope for something interesting after the main game. If they have a zombie mode or DLC, I don't want RDR style zombies. It has to be more of realistic(yes, realistic) take on zombies. Something similar to 28 Days Later could fit the world, especially if it starts in some military lab or something. Official General
Well you zombie lovers can definitely forget about zombies in GTA now. By the time GTA V comes out, this zombie fad will have passed out a long time ago. Right now, the focus on whether or not V will be next-gen. Zombies are not even an afterthought for Rockstar right now.

I don't know what the f**k the 1960s has to do with this. By the time GTA V comes out, this so-called stupid zombie crap would have died out (and hopefully so). I don't think Rockstar even care to entertain the idea, they are more worried about what strategy to to take for V's release, concerning next-gen consoles. I know that I probably comes across biased when I say this. Zombie game in modern day setting (done to death), Zombie game set during the dying days of the Wild West (very original at the time). You can't say "But it'll sell bucket loads" because R* aren't solely motivated by money, otherwise we'd have a new GTA every 2 years. GTA has always been grounded in reality (a parody but stil reality), the weirdest it got was the green goo & jetpack. The HD games have moved even closer to 'real life' (not the best expression) & zombies would break that authenticity. Obviously this is just my opinion & not a stupid "This is GTA not Saints Row or CoD" comment.
jnzooger
The problem with zombies in GTA is that zombies typically don't drive. You take away the drivers, you take away the working cars. Suddenly, everything that makes Grand Theft Auto what it is, is gone. Sure they could have random cars placed around the map, but that just isn't GTA. Something like they did in CtW with the hobo-zombies could work, but not a whole DLC of it. Simple as that.

I think you must've completely misunderstood him. You were saying how the zombie fad would be gone by the time GTA 5 comes out. He stated that the zombie fad started in the 60's, and still hasn't died. Hell, it has gotten way more popular. You didn't make it clear you meant this-gen. It could've been taken either way. Anyway, do you really think the fad would go away? The new Dead Island coming out, probably more zombie games I can't remember, DayZ standalone, pretty much 3 zombie topics a day on this forum. Tell me, what to you indicates that the fad is dying out? Oh, and how do you know zombies are an afterthougt for R*? Do you work for them? Tell me, is GTA 5 this-gen or next-gen? We would really love to know. jnzooger: They could just do what RDR did and have random people driving around the city. People running from zombies. I dunno, R* would make it work somehow. So you're saying "Let's waste time on something everyone is doing and not add anything that's original." Look, we've already gone over this. Drop the originality bullsh*t. Nothing is original. It's all about money. Zombies make money, more than most DLC. So, by your quote, they should stop making games and DLC because everyone else is doing it. Forget money that makes the world-go-round, let's do something original that'll probably suck! You should be the CEO of R*!
Bellic 4 life
If it did become a DLC, it's just a matter of "buy, or don't". It's as simple as that. Put the elitist "this iz nott Cod or Saints row" attitude away.

dethbiker
What about an actual zombie IP by R*? If I recall correctly, they actually had a zombie game planned, way back in the good old SA days, codenamed ''Zed'' or some sh!t, wich then got cancelled for unknown reasons, maybe direct orders from take two. I've never played a bad game by Rockstar, so they could probably nail this stuff down, show the COD developers zombies aren't a fad to milk money with, but a tool to build fantastic creations, art if you will, valuable experiences worth every penny and every hour you spend into it. Algonquin Assassin
See I think the problem people have with zombies is they're simply not scary anymore. The original Resident Evil games used to give me nightmares as it wasn't so overdone in the 90s. Undead Nightmare was awesome, but I can only imagine what R* could do with a full fledged zombie game that isn't DLC. They've barely touched the horror genre so I'd love for them to make a new I.P. I'm thinking something like a rundown Mexico City and other parts of Mexico would be a pretty cool setting for a zombie game.
SocalsZHP
ZOMBIES ARE f*ckING GAY! This. Walking dead was the biggest waste of $30. Why you ask? You literally couldn't even stand still for a more than a couple seconds without being surrounded by zombies. I found myself sprinting in big circles the entire time lol. Some people like it, some people don't, simple as that. I don't mind them adding a zombie DLC, doesn't mean I'll buy it, but I MUCH MUCH rather prefer they take that time and spend it on an original idea, like a better DLC than gay ass zombies.
