GameInformer are doing a lengthy write up about what they saw in the demo: https://www.gameinformer.com/preview/2018/06/12/impressions-and-details-from-50-minutes-of-gameplay (ss of the time of this post it's still being updated)

Sounds real, real good. The first person perspective is starting to grow on me a bit, especially with the way they handle enhancements and upgrades, for example the UI at stock is very limited but you can get upgrades that shows your ammo count, or give you information on characters and random NPC's in the world.

This game does keep getting better the more i hear from it. Still disappointed about FFP but I will have to adapt. This game just sounds too good to even consider missing out.

All this info makes me so hyped, looks like CDPR will be delivering another masterpiece. A TPP option would be nice but its not a priority for me.

Nice, lol. Good to see they aren't pandering to the feminists who whined about TW3 having too much nudity/sex scenes

...here's a neat compromise for 3rd-person that might be possible:

Photo mode!

Not least because as well as being able to pull out the camera and see your character in whatever setting you might be in, it'd also be really cool to be able to capture some of the views and goings-on in the world. :)

They've confirmed that they have plans for a photo mode. :)

It's nitpicking but they are keen to stress it's a first person RPG and not a first person shooter. Obviously it has shooting and melee combat, but from the previews and interviews it sounds like they give you a lot of RPG mechanics to talk your way out of situations, which is cool. It's not all shooty shooterson.

I'm honestly not bummed at all that it's first person perspective only and third person view for cutscenes. Deus Ex Mankind Divided is another Cyberpunk game and is a first person view RPG with third person view cutscenes and is an awesome game

I prefer my open world RPG's to be third person, especially when they have character customisation but it's not a deal breaker for me. Do sorta wish we had the option though. Excited to see that you create a backstory for your character, it's not something you see often in big AAA RPG's.

No, they did say you can enter quite a lot though.

"Go Anywhere, Do Anything – Cyberpunk 2077 is fully open-world, which means Night City is yours for the taking – if you’re prepared. With 6 distinct districts to explore, hundreds of buildings and thousands rooms to enter, and dozens of miles of roads to hit, there are always places to be and things to do."

This sounds sickkk

I'm worried about how the driving will feel. It's their first attempt at using cars as transportation.

From the hands-on impressions coming out of E3, this is going to be something else...

And I think the FPP thing will work overall - I hope the photo mode is at least something with a free camera (if not something as extensive as in Horizon Zero Dawn, then maybe a thing where you record footage and edit it later, like Halo's Theater mode or the Rockstar Editor), but it's not going to be like Far Cry 5, where you never actually get to see your own character outside of outfit menus.

Really hope that some of that in-game demo footage gets released properly soon, because it'd be so good to see this in action. :)

Here's hoping they learned from their mistakes with Roach, where she would sometimes stop in the middle of the road for no reason or just sprint straight into the bushes. 😄

I wasn't too keen about the 1st person comment but now I don't care, I also hope Ciri does make an appearance, she said she spent a good portion of time in a weird land where everyone waged war from a distance and metal in their heads, and don't make it some sh*tty cameo, you make her a main character

Going from what I've heard I don't think the map is gonna be horizontally massive, but it sounds like they have a ton of vertical space with enterable buildings with multiple floors, which IMO is one thing I've wanted to see in games for a while now.

If it's like Deus Ex' Prague but massive, then I'm all in.

That's, apparently, the game running at their booth. If it looks anything close to that when it launches then holy f*ck. Incredible city design.

I just heard about this in an interview and had to get on here and comment about it, lol. One of my thoughts while seeing the trailer was that there's an awful lot of huge buildings and how it's a bit of shame with huge un-enterable buildings, hence I feared the city would feel a bit "dead". And then it turns out some of these huge buildings practically house cities in themselves with vendors, quests and stuff to explore. Mind=blown!

According to some of the hands-on impressions, people are comparing it to ...GTA.

As someone who finds GTA V's driving more predictable and responsive than some of the more 'floaty' racing games, that's no bad thing at all - I like GTA's feeling of weight and momentum, compared to certain racers where it feels like I'm driving a greased shoebox across an ice rink... :panic:

Eh, I'd be fine with GTA V type driving physics. Not the most realistic you're gonna see, but a game like this doesn't really need it to be.
