After all, that Instagram pic looks more like an official screenshot in terms of lighting, colours, framing, etc., rather than someone's own capture from the game - compare it with a similar shot of the same location, from one of the trailers:

I guess Cyberpunk is competing with Death stranding on who can have more '' celebrities' '' in game.  I hope it will be barely noticeable and not like in your face type of thing.

It's not at all comparable, I'd say. CDPR are limiting it to smaller side-quest and advertisements, so I doubt it'll get too intrusive.

I do kinda wish it was all contained to in-game advertisements, but I haven't recognized anyone besides Keanu and the musicians anyways, so it'll be a non issue for me anyways.

With everyone working from home, I can imagine it has created some situations and bottlenecks they haven't been able to properly anticipate or account for. This thing's messing with all of our lives in one way or another - that it indirectly causes a video game to be delayed, is the least of our worries I guess.

You gotta be f*cking kidding me. Whoever is responsible for project management at CDPR needs to get fired. Nevermind the consumers having to wait longer (again) but I really feel for the developers there. One more month of crunch for them. Yay!

Can't believe the game got delayed after going gold.

 

Ah, well. I can wait 3 more weeks. Hopefully, this game will be ready before Christmas, or even the end of the year. I don't want this highly anticipated, ambitious game to get cancelled!

I knew they'd delay it, and I wouldn't be surprised if they delayed the game 1 or 2 times after December 10. They should just delay the game to summer 2021. I'd rather CDPR give their employees fair hours, instead of slaving them away with the crunch. The AAA industry's practices highlight why a union is a must for these guys.

 

Well, more time for me to enjoy watch_dogs: Legion, I guess (no doubt another game where the employees are working more hours than a surgical registrar)!

They've never shown PS4 and Xbox One footage have they? Those two consoles and their ancient architecture must be a massive bottleneck for the development of this highly ambitious game.

Between that, and the PR people reaffirming the commitment to November 19th as recently as yesterday, only for that to fall apart today (and meanwhile, all the big promo push with Porsche, the Keanu ads, etc. is happening now), it's all looking like a real mess - so that tracks pretty well with the previous round of behind-the-scenes info reported by Schreier (and corroborated by Jim Sterling's sources, who say that things really haven't changed since the "death march" during development of The Witcher 3):

Nope, they have never shown the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game, though they have said they would before launch. They have only shown PC footage on insanely powerful rigs.

 

The warning signs have been there for a while now, earlier in the year there was a leak from a guy who predicted things that happened who said the game is a mess technically especially on current consoles. The PC version of the game was previewed a few months ago and on a top tier rig with a 2080 Ti, the game couldn't sit at a locked 60fps at 1080p with raytracing and DLSS 2.0 enabled - which for those not in the know with PC hardware DLSS 2.0 will basically increase your FPS in any game that supports it by around 1.5x and in some extreme cases, 2x.

Everyone who read about it looked past it at the time cause the ol' "oh they have months of optimisation to do and the build was probably old" but then you see this stuff today, and the strong speculation that the game failed console cert, and you can't help but wonder about the games stability and optimisation.

 

As of today, there are just three cards on the market more powerful than a 2080 Ti and two of them are over $1k (3090, Titan RTX), and the 2080 Ti is also above $1k new. The only other card is the 3080 which cannot be found in stock anywhere, AMD have yet to officially announce dates, prices and specs but rumours are their flagship right now will be a 3080 competitor with no DLSS, the 3070 is essentially a 2080 Ti in terms of performance and will undoubtedly release before Cyberpunk especially now but given the 3080/3090 launch that will also probably go out of stock instantly and remain so for 2-3 months.

 

Their system requirements recommended a 1060 for 1080p/30fps, by the way.
