I just hope you will be able to decide what kind of personality/karma protagonist will have. All the videos so far portray V as annoying douche.

Same - although I've noticed that female V sounds more likeable, less 'trying to sound like a tough guy' than male V, at least. I've also seen a few moments in previews where V says something antagonistic or asshole-y, and it doesn't seem to be a dialogue choice (unless the choice gets made earlier in the conversation) - and yeah, I'm in that same boat where I'd much rather have a decent degree of control over V's personality/morality if at all possible.

There's some new info in a Russian community Q&A - the questions are in Russian, but the answers are in English (and someone in the comments translated the questions):

So, in addition to unlocking cars during the course of the game (which was the one confirmed way to own them thus far), it's also possible to buy them - that was up in the air until now, because they'd already said that car customisation isn't really a thing. There's apparently something like 29 base models of car in the game, but then you've got things like Nomad variants on top of that, as well as multiple colour/decal/bodywork variations, etc. - sounds along the lines Sleeping Dogs.

Also, I really like that you can use all the facilities in your apartment (eat, drink, use the shower, etc.), sit on benches around town, go to bars to eat out, all that good stuff, for the sake of being able to feel like a part of the setting. You can also choose to eat/drink along with other characters when hanging out in bars and restaurants (or not, if you don't want to) - there's something cool about being able to, essentially, socialise with contacts/NPCs like that, like you would in real-life. And on top of that, you can apparently get buffs and benefits from eating/drinking, which again sounds similar to Sleeping Dogs (and that's all good, because Sleeping Dogs was ace).

I thought someone mentioned they were spending more time on each vehicle since there was less of a variety, but 29? That seems like a healthy amount to me, especially considering the relative compactness of the world.

As far as customization, it isn't really a thing in GTAV, either, so... *Ba-da-BING!*

I'm in the serious minority that likes it, and wishes more games had it! 😄😬

Hated it on GTA V, you can turn it off on The Witcher 3 (PC). I just find it really distracting, just depends on the game and how intense I guess.

I think for me, when it's light on the edges of the picture, I just find it looks cool, and helps focus my vision. When I turn it off in games, it ends up looking a little too clean. Really hard to explain.

For a game like CP2077 i think i may be able to stand it, that and lens dirt. I took that sh*t out of my Witcher 3 play-through, though lol.

Here's hoping they'll finally announce the system requirements at NCW #3.

I think they mentioned somewhere in a tweet that they are coming soon. Reminds me I still need to purchase a NVMe SSD.

I know some of you are managing your hype by steering clear of screenshots and other info about the game - but I've been processing my hype by making an extensive vehicle database, like I also did back in the day for GTA V. It's just fun for me to geek out on these things.

Anyways, if anyone wants to take a look, it's here (on my new website - site is a work in progress still, but coming along) - https://www.azazel.space/vehicledatabase

Also please, if there's anything that annoys you about the database (or the site in general) - shoot me a PM here or leave a comment at the bottom of the home-page. :)

Good eye, spotting the racing variants (I really hope those are unlockable...) - as for the Challenger-looking Thorton shooting brake, I've got a probable name from it, from this (large!) bit of concept art: the "Thorton Chenoa" (it says "Chenoa '77", I'm presuming that's just because the ad is for the current in-game model year).

That's cool! I had not noticed that billboard, so thanks a lot for the tip. Will add it to the database pronto! :colgate:

Love all the concept art for this game. The quality and attention to detail is amazing.

Just noticed a car I'd not spotted before: behind the Archer sports compact thingy, on the other side of the street, there's an NCPD police cruiser, that looks like it's based on the as-yet-name-unknown Archer sedan, judging by the rear window/bumper shapes:

Good call. I did see that in the picture, but haven't added it for some reason. I also agree that it's definitely based on the Archer 'sedan', with the shape of the rear quarter panels, narrow rear window and the outline of the rear light-cluster. I'll get to it! :D

The Badlands area looks a lot bigger than I ever thought it would be.

No story spoilers or anything in the tags, but given how close it's getting I figure I'll spoiler tag screens for those wanting to stay unspoiled.

Also from the map, looks like we'll get a decent chunk of the Badlands? Man if do choose Nomad, i can't wait to enter Night City for the first time.

I wonder if that Archer sedan will always appear with a missing front left hubcap.

I quite like the Villefort sedan and the Herrera sedan though. I'd most likely cruise around in either of those most of the time assuming I can steal cars.

I think both its front wheels look like that, and that they're supposed to, seeing as it's like that in all the material - even the artwork. 😀

Never have I been so curious about a games system requirements before lol.

On one hand, they'll want this game to be accessible but holy sh*t does the world look dense and detailed. Min requirements gotta be pretty damn high and the raytracing requirements are probably going to be off the charts.

Yeah, definitely intrested to see those ray-tracing requirements. Hopefully they go into to details on resolution and all that. Similar to that of The Division 2's requirements.

I must say, the game looks absolutely stunning. Those panning night time shots of a lit up Night City from above... damn. And the sort of, claustrophobic feel of some parts of the city. Love it!

Also LOTS of stuff for the vehicle database, hehe. Will get right to work. :colgate:
