The DLC looks intriguing. Haven't finished the story yet so I'm a bit out of the loop but the environments look great. The fact they have promised upgrades to vehicular combat and the police system is very promising.

It's my understanding - and someone correct me if I'm wrong - that the DLC will be set before the games ending. It looks like the DLC will tie into one of the side stories with the mayor, which was one of the cooler side stories but it didn't go anywhere... which is understandable, now, as it was obviously their plan for an expansion.

Where are my inverted camera axis homies at? :D

Quote

Inverted camera axis will now also apply to Photo Mode.

The loot from drones was an issue I was having. Glad they fixed it. Same with the other fix.

Quote

Fixed an issue where it wasn't possible to pick up loot from drones.
Fixed an issue where it was impossible to pick up loot if it was completely or partially obstructed by foliage collision.

So frustrating this one.

Quote

Fixed an issue where vehicles went in reverse when braking at low speeds.

This is a nice one. Glad to know there is new "secret" content, even if it's some easter eggs or anything small. Glad to see new things in the game.

Quote

Added more secrets in Night City to be discovered by players. Due to some technical challenges, this change isn't available on the previous generation of consoles.

Overrall, nice update. Looking forward to DLC and Edgerunners show. Love how they designed Night City after the game.

This is a nice update. Transmog, more character customization, DLC tease, but my biggest surprise is that they managed to get Keanu Reeves back. I can imagine his schedule must be swamped, and after the rocky launch he could've easily declined for pr reasons, but seeing him show up on Night City Wire shows he really supports the game.

Im one of those ppl that plays with inverted Y axis, but only if i play with a controller, or while flying then even with mouse and keyboard.

The weirdest part is, back when i still had a Playstation 2 many years ago, i even changed controls so i move with the right control stick and aim with the left one, but only in egoshooters, so basicly left hand controlled. But im a right handed person.

Wow we are a rare species, inverted Y axis ppl. :kekw:

But i only used the photomode once in 280 hours of game time, i honestly don't care about it.

Edit: I played the newest version for like 20 mintues today, somehow i got less FPS than before with the exact same graphic settings, and there is no option to turn off the annoying forced razer keyboard rgb light effects, this is really f*cking annoying.

I haven't tested transmog, because i don't need it in my current playthrough, i use clothing from mods anyway, that i just always upgrade each level with my unlimited crafting mats. After having done one legit playthrough without any mods, i don't feel the need to play legit again, it's too tedious crafting hundreads of things to level up technical skill.

I will probably do another 100% legit playthrough without any mods, after the DLC got released next year. Who knows maybe i got a RTX 4080 by then, this should help a lot. Maybe i can play it all maxed out with raytracing then.

A RTX 3080 is just too slow for this game, if you wanna play it in 4K all maxed out. I also want high FPS not just 45-60.

Edit2: I just tested transmog, yeah we are not forced to wear hats and glasses anymore, i think we could almost run around naked if we wanted to. I probably let my V wear her own clothing for the most part of the game.

Possibly the worst take you could find regarding the upcoming DLC or even the cyberpunk genre for that matter lmao

Acting like Ghost in the Shell, Psycho Pass, Blade Runner, Deus Ex and many more, don't exist.

Nice! I'm actually left-handed but never changed the controller as you did. My strange thing was I'd only invert Y axis for 3rd person and not for 1st person. Now, I'm play inverted for 1st and 3rd person. I often wondered what controllers would have been like for me if left-handed controllers were the dominant standard. Perhaps I would be a bit better at FPS games. It's too late to change now.

Back on topic, I just put Cyberpunk down. I still have never completed the story. I'm balls deep in Vice City DE at the moment. But super glad of this update. I'm sure by the time I crave Cyberpunk again, I'll make the final push to complete the story before the DLC releases next year.

I did jump in and give my guy a nice new mohawk though. I think it's a new mohawk with the update.

After having played with the 1.6 patch a few days, I have to say it's a great update. I didn't expect the transmog system to be such a game changer, but it really is, at least for me. Going shopping for clothes is fun now (especially with the preview option) and dressing V however you want without having to worry about stats, armor or bonuses is great. I haven't discovered all the new things the patch added so far, but it's been great so far. If you haven't played Cyberpunk yet, I think now is the best time to jump in.

A few more shots, as is tradition

Now that you can turn the camera 90 degrees, you can take vertical shots! :D

Last weekend I was thinking of installing a mod that lets you added the visual cyberware. So glad 1.6 added that option at ripperdocs.

My Nomad V can finally wear his nomad outfit from the prologue again!

Very good! The ongoing support is appreciated but I think I'll wait for the overhaul wanted system to start a new run.

Love that they added new knives. Been enjoying a knife build lately, and it's really nice to have more than two options.

It still should've been in at launch but credit where it's due, the transmog system in this game is really good IMO, one of the best examples of it a non-MMO game.

Multiple outfit slots which you can hotswap between and an inherent "hide X" option by how it's designed so you can have no hat, no jacket or whatever.

Did anyone watch Edgerunners? I'm at episode 4 now, and so far I love it. They managed to recreate Night City pretty well in the show. There's been a few times that I could pinpoint where the scene was taking place just based on the surroundings. It's also gore-y as all hell, it makes the game seem tame in comparison.

And as always, the screenshots train keeps on rolling.

I've watched 6 episodes of Edgerunners so far. It's an awesome anime, and I love the attention to detail in regards to the locations represented from Cyberpunk 2077. In addition to some of the songs used from the game (like those heard on Morro Rock Radio and Ritual FM, for example), they also have some new music composed for the anime, such as the end credits theme, "Let You Down".

I wouldn't be surprised if the radio stations get some new songs in a later update. I could see "Let You Down" being heard on either Body Heat Radio or Morro Rock Radio.

I'm not big on anime at all. But after finding the GUTS shotty and then having watched Edgerunners it did kinda hit me. :p

Thought there might of been a mod out to add it to the stations already.

let's say I play for about 1.5 to 2 hours every (other) day. how long would it take me to get through the main storyline?

let's also say I get easily distracted and probably gonna end up doing a side-mission or two. AND when I do missions I pace myself, as in look through every room and loot every crate.

would kill some time for sure wouldn't it?!

Approximately 50 hours if you just do the main story, and maybe a few dozen more if you also do side-quests.

Way less.

Cyberpunk's main story is ~20-25 hours, side stuff will take around you to around 50, a full completionist run is around 100.

I got 140 hours out of my run, which went to the end, but I was quite some distance from completionist.

It should have been more.  Play time comes down to how much a player can squeeze out of the free-roam, and the sandbox elements were among my biggest disappointments with Cyberpunk. What really clicked for me were the missions, the stuff CDPR fine tuned. That's finite, so the end came sooner than it might have if I were to find more compelling play in free roam.  When it ended I chose the option to keep playing and never did again.

The missions were in the main well-structured, interesting and fun. The characters, voice acting, narratives and the other components of the missions all felt quite well done. But outside of this Night City felt like a stage, if you outflank it it is revealed to be a 2D prop, a facade. Like you're surrounded by holograms, and if you poke it your hand passes straight through. I use too many metaphors.

My first playthrough ended at 150 hours, but that included doing all the street crimes, collecting all the cars, doing all the endings, basically 100% it. A "normal" playthrough sans distractions and lolly gagging would probably take 50+ hours.

So partially out of curiousity and partially because Edgerunners inspired me, I kind of turned my V's build around. I started as a gunslinger with throwing knives as an extra, but now it has turned into a blades build with a pistol as a sidearm for long distance. I currently have a throwing knife, pistol, katana and monowire in my loadout and chrome'd the f up. I'm now rocking a Sandevistan and Kereznikov. I didn't really use quickhacks in this playthrough, so I don't really miss them. Plus the Sandevistan is a gamechanger. A few times now I managed to clear out a group of enemies almost entirely before they even noticed me.

The Headhunter throwing knife added in the latest patch is also highly recommended. It marks enemies for added damage, and a follow-up headshot automatically returns the knife to your hand.

Finished the anime last night, with the Japanese dub. 10/10 show. This song hits you like a truck after episode 10.

I've been meaning to get back to playing this game, I bought it last year on eBay for $30.

I liked what I played, then the game crashed when I was fighting the first boss. I haven't picked it up since, but on my Xbox One S "Yeah still having a hard time looking for a PS5 and an Xbox Series X" but I didn't get a big update so when I get back to NY this Sunday I'll check it out again. :)

New Ray-Tracing: Overdrive Mode for the 40 series cards & DLSS 3.0 coming to CP!

https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/news/dlss3-supports-over-35-games-apps/

Looking from the specs page, 3.0 is only supported by the new GPU's.

Yeah it seems to be great.

Edit: Im not sure yet if i will buy a RTX 40XX or not, sure a perfomance gain of 2x in most games would be great, going from a RTX 3080 to a 4080, but i honestly don't got the kinda money for this atm. I probably save money and wait for the RTX 50XX series, and then build a complete new rig.

I assume GTA VI will be released in 2024 for consoles and 2025 for PC, i hope the RTX 50XX series will be released before GTA VI, then i will build myself a new rig for that. It just makes more sense to skip a gen, and then buy everything new, than just replacing my GPU (RTX 3080).

The only other games im looking forward to atm, is the Forza Motorsport reboot and Starfield, and i think a good "old" RTX 3080 can handle these games well.

DLSS 3.0 being 4000 series only is poo. 4000 series pricing is even more poo.

The 4000 series is the generation to skip 100%.

The 4000 series is the generation to skip 100%.

In that case, then, use FSR, or DLSS 2.0 if you have the 2000/3000 series cards.

I do hope CP2077 gets official FSR 2.0 support in a later patch.
