I'm glad to read hear the news as posted on the previous page regarding the lack of Microtransactions in CP2077. Hopefully, this game is a critical and commercial success and they can inspire devs/publishers to think of the gamer first.

I care if something is proven, not some random video or reviews that a 12 year angry kid would believe immediately with no evidences to back up. Same genius would get triggered at a comment that wasn’t directed at him. Going back and forth? Actually not, my posts always short, you are the one who writes long essays!

Hit By Lightning and Static, I appreciate both of your views and passion. Lets get back to the game. If you like to continue your discussion, please take to PM. Thanks :)

Whoever told you that The Witcher: Enhanced Edition was "nothing but cut content", or indeed cut content at all, was sorely mistaken. The Witcher: Enhanced Edition was a massive effort to bring the game to the quality that it should have been upon release, and was 100% free to owners of the The Witcher. Among many other things:

Loading times were reduced by up to 90%. I didn't buy the original release, but I played the demo which was the same build, and can attest to the fact that loading times upon entering and exiting interiors were inexcusably long--it caused one to think thrice about simply entering a shack.

Over 5,000 lines of English dialogue were rewritten and re-recorded. As far as I am aware, this is by far the most extensive of the improvements. In addition, dialogue animations were reworked.

Combat responsiveness and the inventory system were both improved, and variation in the appearance of NPCs was significantly increased.

A game should of course release in a polished state, but I am not aware of any other developer, at least in the ten years following The Witcher, that has on its own dime worked so diligently to rectify a game's shortcomings after release. I don't know as much about the details of The Witcher 2's Enhanced content, but I know that it was also 100% free, and that it consisted of improvements and not cut content.

Would be surprised to see the game released this year, feel like it'd be too soon? If it does though, 2018 just became even more stacked for games.

If the game does come out I might wait for a complete edition like they did for The Witcher 3.

If this game actually releases in 2077 will they just call it Cyberpunk?

That's an awful long time to play a game, what if they never release a complete edition

So damm excited for this game. TW3 is one of my favourite games of all time, it did everything right in my book. I just hope they can continue with that quality and don't pull a Bioware (who have been sucking ass since quite some time sadly, especially their last two games)

The first tweet from the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account in 5 years. Some think this is the beginning of the marketing campaign.

https://twitter.com/CyberpunkGame/status/951091371200466944

Yeah the YouTuber LegacyKilla made a good point and said he thinks it's because the game is in a playable state now. The "beep" symbolizing a computer being switched on. They're finally online etc.. I still think it will be another 2 years. Perhaps something at E3, with a release for 2019

Title is a bit click-baity. Basically, it's a featurette of Mike Pondsmith in a Spanish TV show about future tech and he's interviewed in it. It was produced by Vodafone.

Here's the actual video. You'll have to turn subtitles on > Auto-Translate > You chosen language.

Damn, I thought there was some breaking news about this. In other news though, CDPR has been registered for E3 2018. No way they show up only to promote Gwent. They have to be showing off something significant.

If its just Gwent I'll definitely be disappointed

I think the game is coming along far quicker than I originally expected. Well, far quicker than I thought 3 months ago. With the recent "Beep" tweet, the appearance at E3, surely this is the start of the marketing campaign. Mike Pondsmith speaks of the trailer in the video above. I think we might see some sort of trailer to whet our appetites. CDPR could sell Gwent off the back of Cyberpunk news. I mean they may primarily be there to plug Gwent but we might see Cyberpunk as a part of that.

I was initially thinking 2020 is when we will see Cyberpunk but I now think it might be November/October 2019. Wouldn't be totally crazy if that is the case and we see a Cyberpunk video at E3.

I'm thinking early/spring 2019. Late 2019 with a reveal at E3 2018 means over a year of marketing the game and they've already said they want to market it similarly to Fallout 4 and Bethesda's way of marketing. Late 2018 would be too chaotic with RDR2 coming out around that time, so I'm thinking sometime in the first half of 2019. Maybe even May 2019, which would make it 4 years since The Witcher 3 was released in May 2015.

They're gonna have to show us some gameplay at E3.

And boy, isn't CDPR lucky? With Blade Runner 2049 and Altered Carbon, now seems to be the perfect time for a cyberpunk game.

Thronebreaker will apparently be released before E3 even starts, so it's definitely Cyberpunk 2077. My money is on a reveal trailer and hopefully a few glimpses of gameplay.

They need something tangible. More CGI will gather more ire than praise - you can ride off of previously earned goodwill for so long before people get tired.

So, CD Projekt were holding a press conference and someone asked about Cyberpunk 2077. They gave a standard answer, but when they gave this answer, the screen behind them glitched out - apparently leaving a hint as to the game appearing at E3:

In the 'Sneaky Cyberpunk 2077 Hidden Message' video, the assumption of deliberation based on the stability of the 'CD Project RED' logo and the apparent pressing of a remote button prior to the distortion of the image seems legitimate to me.

But the declaration that "three E's become clearly visible" is not something I would consider beyond argument, lol.

Actually, the only reason I would even consider them to be three E's is based on the assumption that the distortion is deliberate and, if it is, that there is some reason for it. But that is based on the assumption that there is nothing more to be found in the imagery. I would have to rely on the fact that someone has thoroughly analyzed a high-quality video source and made that determination.

So there are some rumors that @ E3 that selected publications will get to see Cyberpunk in the flesh behind close doors. This is eerily similar to what Rockstar recently have done with Red Dead Redemption 2. The real question is, will the public see a trailer of some form during E3?
