Saving damaged vehicles

I would like the damage to stay. I would also like it if the local Pay n Spray wasnt just a one time $100 fee, but rather it depended upon what car it is and how much damage it has. It could cost anywhere from $100 to $20,000 or so depending on the car. This would be a really neat feature to spend money on.

I would like to keep the damage, would give me a reason to actually use Pay 'n' spray more often, I hardly used it in GTA IV, only to make the time skip 3 hours, and I used it mostly to change color.

actually that will give you the will to drive more carefully, like a real crook would try to, taking risks but not going total crazy, also that will give you the need to spend money to repair your vehicule. maybe if you feel lazy you could just call someone to take your vehicule and repair it while you sleep and they will deliver it at your parking lot, all clean and new, taking a little bit more of your money for the travel they made.

Driver: Parallel Lines had it right. When your car got written off, you could pay a fee to have it towed back so it was in your garage. Then if you want to fix it before you left you paid the fee there and then. You didn't have to drive anywhere. You just paid a fee to see that fresh car.

If every pay n spray actually let you pick your own color that would help. Thats something i thought IV would have at least had even on a most basic level.

Agreed, I thought it's be in IV, and I certainly hope it's in V. If I have a wanted level I don't care what colour they spray the car, but if I go in without a wanted level I should get some options.

I like how my car magicly repair... But I wouldn't care if the damages were kept... It just make it more realistic.

Having to eat and drink and piss and sh*t and shower and carry only 2 or 3 weapons and having to change gear in manual transition vehicles and ageing at a rate in line with the game clock and staying permenently dead when you die and having a trial and prison time whenever you're caught would also make it more realistic.

Ehhh, you wouldn't HAVE to take it to P&S every time.

Plus I don't use cheats in GTAIV, and they certainly shouldn't be mandatory for gameplay.

If the damage was to stay on the vehicle i would want to choose the color in pay n spray.

yeah, keeping the damage would be ok, as long as theres a cheat to give us the option of fixing it immediately. and ideally a pay n spray fairly close to the safe houses, and you can choose the color.

 

EDIT: the more I think about it, the more I wouldnt want it. As much as I damage cars, or get ran into, It would be a pain to always have to get it fixed.

Wouldn't be bad. While it was nice to wake up to a pristine car in IV, I think I could deal with having it still as beat up as when I left it parked. What would I do for a cop car though?

 

The P&S definitely needs to allow you to choose paint color. That or have a P&S that will just give you a quick PJ, while there is another shop where you can customize the paint and hopefully a lot of other stuff on your car.

I voted to keep it as it is because there is no place to repair your vehicle. Unless you repaint, which doesn't make sense either.

You have no idea how many times I've just barely got my broken-down, or even flaming cars into my garage in past GTA games. Times like those I am so happy it repairs it.

 

Hell, one time in SA I got my first supercar (Cheetah I think), and it was on fire about to explode. I jumped out at the last second and it exploded in my garage. The garage door closed then immediately re-opened, and my car was there! So yes the "magic repairs" should stay.
