springsteen_fan
Well sh*t, I thought an alchemist will appear in V. Literally. At least edit the title (please @mods) and add music/rapper in it or so. If you read the word alchemist on a GTA forum then a real alchemist should not be the first thing you think about.. Just saying... You have played earlier GTA's right? I thought about the same ... a real Alchemist, not a musicien. That's because this guy is just not that famous. He is in the hip-hop world. Jamie Smith
Look im not trolling but, Really?? this Alchemist guy, he is very slow, dull, and has no meaning in his songs. Why cant Rockstar get [Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent, Nas, Jay-Z, Dr, Dre, Snoop Dogg, Tupac, Biggie Smalls, Eve, Lil Kim] in the game like actual rappers who are actually good and make sense? theworldfamous
hate to say it, because many will disagree, but The Alchemist is overrated. nope.. overrated like crazy. He has some catchy sh*t, but his actual production is almost universally weak. I never understood why he turns so many heads. There's at least 10 producers breaking out each year that are better. BUT THE BENZ
Finally something normal regarding hip hop in GTAV, if it's true that is.Sick of lil wayne, monnneeey pop hop retarded sh*t. We need more people like you lol. Hmmm so two hip hop artists I've seen regarding GTA V are Curren$y and Alchemist. Looks like we're gonna have a nice blend here. Maybe 2 or 3 more artists to start swirling rumors of themselves being in GTA V to help solidify what hip hop we're going to see. Personally, I'm hoping for some Kendrick Lamar. The Game said he "did some work" with Rockstar as well. So Curren$y might be on the radio in V? That would be REALLY awesome. He is a talented rapper for sure, that flow is one of a kind. Now that I think of it it's somewhat obvious that he would get a spot on V's rap station, isn't it? JET LIFE and all ;D I guess Trademark Da Skydiver could be on it too. THAT would totally make my day. Check out Trade Alchemist and Curren$y worked together before. If Alchemist is really in it, he could have been signed up to do the rap station for V, as Premier before him. Premier is all New York and Alchemist is indeed Cali. Premo played a set of classics and I guess Alchemist could do the same, but since R* has gone to that level where they hire professionals to create musical scores and all that for their games (rly awesome idea btw) I could see Alchemist calling people like Curren$y, Evidence or even Prodigy (even though he's all up in Queens) to make a brandnew sound for V. Westcoast all the way. Whatever they come up with it will be good I'm sure. From the Covert Coup EP Edited January 13, 2013 by Noclue_42
grandola
Alchemist fits west coast like a glove! If this is true, I already know he'll be a great influence in whatever aspect of the game he is involved in.

Lawlzmachine1989
I wonder the other one Alchemist did with Evidence will ever make it to GTA V? I do know it's from MC:LA, so anything from this producer is amazing.

CSM. HB J-DOGG
I would think they would use more west coast folks but well see. Curren$y problem has always been work ethic. As far as wayne you can bash him all you want but he is college educated was a straight A student in school. has a IQ of 150-160 and Rich. Plus majority of Rappers consider him one of the best. Now if we are going of Lyricist then it would be Talib Kweli

Now if we are going of Lyricist then it would be Talib Kweli 1. But Alchemist is west coast 2. Are you talking about Lil Wayne? His lyrics are ridiculously dumb. I'll just assume we're not talking about the same person. 3. I don't really know or care about Talib Kweli so I won't say anything about that. MosquitoSmasher
Oh lol...i didn't know about Gangrene being The Alchemist and someone called Oh No. No idea who that is. But this news sounds very believeable. As the article itself says..why would a big hip hop producer talk nonsense? Nah. I bet the main theme will be awesome, always been awesome in GTA. I wonder if they have only just finished this...sounds a bit late in the game. Edited January 25, 2013 by MosquitoSmasher

Jonesizzle
The Alchemist is one of my favorite producers. This collab he did with Oh No is very enjoyable and has a west coast theme to the album. I'd also like to note The Alchemist didn't produce Royce Da 5'9'' "The King". He actually stole it from RA The Rugged Man... just sayin'.

I'm sick of corny kids mouthing off about whatever's commercial at the moment, trying to prove what underground backpack hardcore motherf*ckers they are. That sh*t was old 10 years ago, get over it. There has always been some wack overrated rapper topping the charts.. can we get over it and discuss decent rap music? Besides, fashion, being flashy and pop has always been a part of hiphop, like it or not.
