Girish
The trailers hardly give anything away. Nolan is a master at that. I have seen all the trailers and I'm sure I'm going to be equally amazed, if not more.

Vanilla Shake
So I just got back from finally seeing this. I'm still trying to fully digest it and I'll post a proper review later on once I have, but so far I feel like this is Nolan's most emotionally involved film yet and easily the best movie to come out this year. Great acting, solid plot, amazing visuals, a chill-inducing score, etc. I'd go so far as to say it beats out The Dark Knight AND Inception, but I'm sure others will disagree. Spaghetti Cat
Hey Shake, I've heard from online that the sound mix was a bit off for a lot of people. Like the dialog was overpowered by the music and sfx. Can you comment on that? No Image Available
Vanilla Shake
Hey Shake, I've heard from online that the sound mix was a bit off for a lot of people. Like the dialog was overpowered by the music and sfx. Can you comment on that? I didn't have any problems hearing the dialogue. Then again I had no problem understanding Bane in The Dark Knight Rises despite numerous complaints about him being "unintelligible". Wheatley
I saw the film yesterday, and it was great! I warm welcome back for actual Sci-Fi. There are a few complaints though - for example the sound mixing was a bit off in my cinema. I could barely hear what some characters where saying in some moments in the film and the music became way too loud in others. I enjoyed the visuals though such as the distance scenes with the ship being a tiny detail surrounded by nothingness and the lack of sound - perfectly encapsulated the feeling of space. I also noticed various homages to 2001: A Space Odyssey, some more obvious than others. I'd give it a 7.5/10: Pros: Fantastic visuals. Great cast. Unpredictable, on the edge of your seat moments. The soundtrack and build up. Lots of Heart. Has a great message. Cons: Film felt it dragged on a bit much. Some dialogue felt forced. Sound mixing could do some work for home release. Some plot holes became more obvious than others. Edited November 9, 2014 by Wheatley Spaghetti Cat

Creed Bratton
Sort of in the same way that Inception can get you, yeah. I felt nothing. I just realized that it's three hours long, so I can't see it. I'm not even gonna try to sit in one place for three hours. I have to get up every once in a while. I can just barely sit through a two hour movie. It's not a comfort issue and it doesn't matter how good the movie is, either. I'm just not built for sitting that long without getting up for at least a few minutes. Edited November 13, 2014 by The Yokel
K20
its an amazing movie, one of the best. very thought provoking. makes me want to go watch it again. that part when they landed on that planet next to the black hole, and time is like 1hour to 20 years or something in real time, messed up how suddenly it happened. Girish
Breathtaking film. Nolan continues to amaze and impress. The visuals are fantastic, the story is intriguing, the characters have played out their parts well and he's managed to squeeze in emotions in there too! Some of the scenes at the end hit me hard. Not to mention, one particular scene literally made me jump in my chair; it was so sudden. Nolan has indeed mastered the art of film-making because no other director would have managed to hold my interest for such a long film. But every second is worth it. This gets a whopping 9/10 rating from me; right up there with some of the best. Tank, vertical limit and A J
vertical limit
When the credits started to roll, I just sat there and leaned forward and started to cry, not because of empathy (that happened earlier) but out of the beauty of it. It's like euphoric melancholy.....I just can't fathom my appreciation for it. I have never cried before because a movie was "good" in and out of it self. The soundtrack kept my hair straight up all the time, it was blended in such a way that it never distracts you from the movie but it supplements it. Nolan has raised the standards up high for the modern space/sci-fi genre. This might be the best movie I have seen this year, perhaps ever. Wheatley
The Deluxe Edition soundtrack is reportedly out today although I can't find anything on it so it must be on either Amazon or iTunes. However, the song most people want is : Where Coop and Co. have to dock with the Endurance while it's spinning around I have however found a faithful recreation of it that will do in the meantime: Edited November 18, 2014 by Wheatley
Vanilla Shake
Yeah I've been itching to get that track as well. I'm disappointed that it's not available on any of the releases, and it is odd as most people (me included) who've seen it agree that the docking scene is one of the greatest scenes they've ever witnessed on film. However, Hans Zimmer today said that they're gonna put it out for free eventually. "We are going to give it away for free...We are just waiting on some additional clearances. But the record company is totally into it. Plus, they are working really hard to make the "Lightbox" available everywhere. It's quite complicated." http://hans-zimmer.com/index.php?rub=disco&id=1256 ...and the waiting continues. I was so sure that it'd be out today. It is a bit odd that it wasn't initially included, I thought it was one of the most intense parts of the film. E: I liked the film, I thought it was pretty good. I really didn't expect the film to capture so much pathos - and all because of time dilation. The visuals were stunning and there were some incredibly tense moments. I liked the explanations of the phenomena involved - as simple as the were - but I read some people thought it overwhelming, commenting that it was like the cast knew Neil deGrasse Tyson was waiting to outline discrepancies. Venom
I'm really glad I saw this in the cinema. The week previous, I watched The Imitation Game (Interstellar show was cancelled :c ) and I all can say is THIS is the film the must be watched on a massive screen with big, booming audio. Yes, it has a little Hollywood-storytelling, but visually, it's amazing and I was entertain throughout. The only problem I had with the length of the film was that I did hastily walk to the toilets after watching.. it was never a 'urgh, three hours..' type of film. Mr. Scratch
The visuals were nice, the story felt way too familiar to me though. Anyone who's ever seen Doctor Who can understand why.
Wheatley
Someone has faithfully recreated the Cinematic version of "No time for Caution". It's a close as you can get to the real thing that you hear in the Cinema. uNi
zuckmeslow
I just got out of the theater. I saw it again but this time i saw the 70mm version. Amazing experience. The sound wasnt as good as when i saw the movie in digital imax but the picture quality was beyond digital. The film grain, the scratches, the dust. It was all beautiful I wish theaters would bring back film projection

Vanilla Shake
I enjoyed this in the Imax the weekend before last. But since, a friend and I have been discussing Zimmer and how nice the soundtrack is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jo5m5GXF9Ec Possibly my new favorite film score, especially No Time for Caution, Mountains, Imperfect Lock, Coward, Detach, Stay and Day One. And of course the music from the final scene, which starts at 3:49. I love the change in pace from the thunderous, percussion-heavy themes in The Dark Knight trilogy and Inception to the church organs used here. Really makes it sound "spacey". Been itching to go see this a third time. Really wanna drag my friend along too. I have no doubt he'll be floored like myself and the majority of those who dig Nolan films. Can't wait to see what he comes up with next. Edited December 6, 2014 by Vanilla Shake Mister Pink and Girish 2 TC718 / <629 / CF5
Doc Rikowski
Sorry about the bump but I just watched this. Indeed a great movie that pays a great homage to Kubrick's "2001 A Space Odyssey" although not as good as the original masterpiece. The only two points I found "weak" were the corny good ending finale and the whole "we built the wormhole in the future". It seems Nolan had not the guts to end the movie with Cooper's death which should have been obvious at that point. Also we couldn't have built a wormhole in the future without passing through it before building it. I know there's the whole time paradox thing but I thought it was a messy plot explication; just as the fact we never get to know what happened to Earth in the first place. Beside the above I really enjoyed the movie. Good effort by Nolan but Kubrick is just in a legue of his own.
