heist_blueprint
Taxi/Vigilante/Fire side missions I thought this was actually fun in older GTA games. And I don't think IV had Taxi/Fire side missions, but it definitely had vigilante. I don't know if it would be fitting to the characters in GTA V, but I'd love it if they brought back these side missions for certain business vehicles and emergency vehicles. Nopheros
Didn't they said that those side missions will be back, just in a different way fitting for the characters?
vivalavendredi
Yes, I would like to see them return too. The vigilante missions in IV were great, they improved that a lot from older GTAs. Taxi would be cool though (even if it was possible in IV with romans cab somehow) I'm not sure about the firetruck thing. Never had fun with that. What I really liked was the pizza delivery thing with that motorbike (was that in SA or VC?) Some motorbike sidemissions should be there.
K20
i liked the police and ambulance side missions.... i always ended up getting out of the van and blowing the patient up.
heist_blueprint
Yah the Vigilante missions in IV were awesome. It kinda felt like you were a cop pulling over to use the police computer to find criminals and see whats crimes are going on around the city. And yes, the pizza missions were in SA. I wonder what they could improve with the taxi missions. Maybe when you pick people up, they can talk to you. Maybe its a rich guy going to the airport talking about his trip, etc. Maybe the rich guy gives you a bigger tip than a poor guy. Also a Valet side mission at a "The Richman Hotel" might be cool. You get to drive a lot of cool cars. And depending how much damage the car gets, that determines your pay. That might be stupid, but its a starting idea for a side misssion for fun. Anything else that might be cool?

Don_Corleone
I liked the ambulance/firefighter missions in GTA SA because of the rewards and money but I really hated that you couldn't stop/save between missions and you had to complete them in 1 go. The vigilante missions in GTA IV were pretty cool.
Crazyman2389
I for one would love to have the semi trucking missions back from SA as well. Heck I can't recall the movie but it involved a semi truck with a gas tanker hitched on it filled to the brim with cocaine. Would love to see something like that implemented in one of the random semi trucking deliveries.

Matty
I hope that vigilante missions in GTA V are delivered in a similar fashion to GTA IV; possibly more refined. If taxi missions are to return; there isn't really much that could be changed in terms of how the player does these missions except for maybe more variety. As for Firefighter and Ambulance missions - I would rather them not be included as side missions in GTA V unless if they were to be significantly revamped (the Ambulance and Firefighting missions from the III-era games were boring and quite repetitive); maybe even combining the two. For example, you are required to go to a burning building or car, put out the fire and rescue the victims and have them taken to the hospital. If they are not revamped, I would rather them not be in GTA V in place of something more interesting.

If R* are striving for a more believable experience why would the authorities help when technically you're breaking the law by taking it into your own hands? Like somehow you can trick everyone that you're a cop. That's just f*cking retarded!!! The only way I can see anything like that working is if you can buy handcuffs and knock out a thug, put the cuffs on him and then call an anonymous hot line to have him picked up. jamieleng
I think the vigilante missions should be more realistic. You are given a hit list, you get a cop car & type the name into the on board computer & then you're given their approximate location. Pretty much the same as IV but the more the bounty on someone's head, the more protected they are. When they're dead, you take a photo of their body as evidence, send it to a certain number & the funds are transferred to you.

I'm actually hoping they implement a similar system that was present in Red Dead Redemption. Pretty much what you said - you get in a police car; press a button to access the police computer; you are presented with a list of the areas most wanted and their 'bounty', you select the person you want to take down and if you are successful, you get the reward. I could see this being incorporated in one way or another; whether it is apart or separate from the vigilante system.

I think Trevor would enjoy the hunt (as long as it's not like 'Dog the Bounty Hunter' just hassling the person's family & friends). Although Franklin could do it with his best friend 'Chop the Bounty Hunter'.
Bi0ha2ard_q8
I kinda preferred what they did in the HD era. Odd jobs/side missions that reflect the antagonist's personality, which is much more immersive for me. Think about it, Klebitz as a biker had the gang wars, the bike races and the "dirty laundry" missions. But no vigilante or taxi which fit only Niko's situation and personality. Whereas with CJ, sure he did the burglary and pimping missions, but for some reason rockstar felt that they had to include the uncharacterisic Taxi/vigilante/ambulance etc. missions. Plus I'm damn sick of the classical odd jobs. I would prefer to do some crazy countryside sh*t as Trevor or some hustlin' with Franklin Edited January 10, 2013 by Bi0ha2ard_q8
thebestgameever
I hope the cops don't attack us when we are doing the vigilante missions >< Also, i want it to be possible for us to stop people in cars by using the PIT manouver.

I think it might be the latter, as that would help retain the immersion. Although I can see people not liking that.
