same melee styles or different

would you like to have michael, trevor and franklin all have different melee/fighting styles, or would you rather have them be essentially the same, make it much easier, while switching protagonists

 

and do you think rockstar will have different fighting styles for our 3 protagonists

Michael probably will be classic boxing style, Franklin more of a brawler MMA style, Trevor probably will be a dirty fighter very uncontrolled.

Here's also another topic discussing some possibilities regarding fight styles. From the GI interview, I think we can expect a revamped/upgraded combat system from IV, should be interesting to see it in action.

i can see them being very different, i'd picture michael being a stand up fighter, but i'd assume he'd not want to get hit, so i'd see him as a clinch based fighter (think the stand up game of randy couture) with him changing position of the clinch with his opponent's movement, delivering lots of uppercuts, rabbit punches and the odd knee or two (and possibly a standing arm lock or something, nothing like ending a fight with a broken bone, it could also allow another way to dominate an opponant with strikes, debilitate then rain down upon them), franklin i'd see as a more strike orientated guy, he'd be able to take a punch and roll with it, and i think he'd have the speed to deliver barrages quickly (think igor vovchanchyn, like cro cop, but no real takedown defense necessary) so i'd see him throwing up quick boxing style combinations, with occasional kicks, finished up with kicks and stomps to downed opponents, as for trevor, straight up ground and pound (think mark kerr before his downfall) nothing but moving into a dominant position over an opponent (charging and tackling them to the ground, then moving around to get the best position to hit them), and unleashing an unholy barrage of headbutts, 12-6 elbows, heavy punches and (when in half guard) as many knees to the face as you can mash out of the controller
