Used to be my brothers but one of them isn't really interested in GTA (we mainly share an interest in RPGs, both the videogame and tabletop varieties) at all and the other one kind of is, but is pretty busy and we don't really discuss it. Not a big deal though, we have plenty of other stuff in common, I've never made much of a habit of talking about GTA except online anyways, and not even that before GTA V was announced. I actually spend a lot more time discussing Silent Hill, even though GTA is my favorite series. So, like Showstopper said, it's you guys. To be honest, I haven't met many people outside of this forum who have much interest in GTA at all, even in other online communities. The response will generally be "meh" or "GTA sucks" at the furthest extremes. Maybe it has to do with GTA IV and how it divided the community a bit. I like GTA IV personally, but it seems hard to argue sometimes, at least with my personal experience, that it's reduced GTA's overall popularity, although it may have increased it in other demographics that appreciated the more mature direction (and could overlook the fact that it certainly was no San Andreas in terms of features). Because GTA V seems to bringing the best of both worlds back, I do sort of hope that, if GTA V does what I think it will do, word of mouth will spread and GTA will regain its popularity among the general gaming public, including people I know in real life. Nah, Its not sad.. its a forum made for people of common interest to share and discuses their feelings/opinions. My g/f doesn't really care until the game comes out.. Anticipation to her is a dead form of art. The only reasonable discussion I can have about an aspect of GTA V is here.
