Help with modding gta iv sound files

Hi, so i recently have been modding my gta iv for better gameplay and stuff and i came across modding sounds. I looked at the tuts and they say to extract the "ivaud" files from the RESIDENT.rpf file. the thing is the files in there arent ivaud files... they are just files with no extensions and i dont know what to do.. can someone please help me please i have gta iv 1.0.7.0.

if you are using OpenIV, then just right click on the file after extracting it and click rename.

then just add .ivaud to the end of the file name
