Ermac_
I know most people prefer not to, however in red dead redemption I found myself turning the brightness down almost all the way so it felt more realistic at night. It was even funner when I did this with the undead nightmare dlc. Do you plan on doing this for gta v?, I know I probably will at some point so it feels realistic at nighttime allowing me too really enjoy the new weather and day and night cycles (especially driving in the rain in the middle of nowhere with animals!) Kifflom112
I'm just going to adjust my settings so that it looks as good as it can on our TV. I don't want it too vibrant and 'happy' nor do I want it too gloomy.

Red Dead looked perfect on the PS3 with the settings. IV I made brigher. I'll see how V looks.
GourangaMaster
Ive been tempted to do this before but realised how tedious it is having to change the settings whenever I want to play. I just hope they make the night a bit darker. Not so much that your blind if your away from lights but enough to make the atmosphere at night more mysterious and ominous. TheJasonGallant
I almost always need to change some settings in most of my video games so it's looks perfect... I don't like when it's not the perfect brightness hehe.
Algonquin Assassin
With GTA IV I alway have the brightness and contrast up to max, but the saturation at its lowest. I love this game when its almost black and white to capture the cold, winter/autumn feeling of the game.
Nameless Foot Soldier
I gonna pump my saturation all the way up like all ways. I always loved the juicy colors . I didn't really think that is diminished the grim feel for GTA IV but only highlighted it more to be. Ever walk through a rainy street during a storm at night with full saturation. The feels I have for those moments, I just can't explain it. The wet sidewalks with shining lights coming off the water reflections, reds and greens and bright lights glowing off the roads from cars and traffic lights, the dull and bleak deep blue sky. The neon like lights shimmering off the buildings all around me. Easily one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen in any video game. That is sh*t I can pop some pills to, which I have and I gotta say, it was one hell of experience. I wish I didn't live in a desert in real life ... I would totally be up and down the streets if I lived in New York. Screw cars, if its raining, I'm walking.
Miss Darko
I always move the settings around a bit even if by a notch or two. So the answer is pretty much undoubtedly yes. A lot? Well, GTA IV and RDR have both their display settings notches moved a ways from the middle.
MrMagic50
RDR is the only game where I have ever played with the settings. I drain the saturation until there are barely any colours and then up the contrast just a little. If I had of done this with something like VC, I would have pumped the saturation and brightness to the max. I can see myself doing the same thing with V. vivalavendredi
This depends on how good the guys at R* made their job! In IV it sometimes was hard to guess if it's midnight or noon (in some moments this matched the theme of the game perfectly, but was not so good when free roaming, I got depressed from time to time) So I was tweaking and pitching all the time. They've fixed that a bit in TBOGT but it still was uber-sh*tty sometimes. This time I want the cali-cali-feeling when the daylight comes and a mixture of VC and TBOGT in the nighttime. Hope they put their sh*t together and fixed that this time.
TheMisanthrope
The first thing I do when I get a game is go directly to the options to turn on subtitles and also to see what all I can "tweak" to my liking. I will probably turned the brightness up a bit I like it to be realistic but I also like to be able to see what the hell I'm doing.
