GTA-King
A real focus on bank robberies and heists with a lot of planning to them. So, just as the quote says, we will be getting some missions that lead up to the actual heists. I find this interesting. Of course there will be different kinds of missions... like Michael struggling with his family life, Franklin struggling to get out of the hood, and Trevor... hard to say really. lol. Maybe the drug trade is getting harder for him to control? Anyway, money is def. a driving force for all of them. These kinds of missions, mixed with missions where you are planning heists... and the heists themselves... is going to offer us a truly groundbreaking story in my opinion. The pursuit of the almighty dollar from 3 different perspectives. Here are some examples from past GTA games of missions leading up to heists: Vice City San Andreas So what kind of missions do you guys want to see leading up to each heist in V? Discuss. 36Chambers
I'd like to see missions where all three of the main characters collect guns, vehicles, spot out locations (might be boring ), hire people that have specialities, maybe get rid of security systems the night before and all that stuff leading up to the final heist/robbery so it'll be satisfying once finished since it feels as if you've put a lot of effort into it. Basically, if the movie Heat was all centered around the big heist near the end, GTA V should have a bunch of little heists with simple planing (Like the first truck heist in Heat) gradually getting more difficult and end with a monumental heist at the end. My apologies if this is hard to follow, I'm a bit tired BTW: great topic
TAVittorio24
The jewelry store i can see getting uniforms and the van. Im sure its alot of the same. I believe the military base would offer lots of set up. The heists will get more complex leading to more buildup. Love the idea. Letting the mission with the heists be all the more epic. Like seeing all your hard work pay off. If i knew what all the heists were id give you a better answer
TOMAHAWKS
As you stated, the protagonists solving their personal conflicts, along with actual preparation missions like finding proper vehicles for escaping with the goods, purchasing the armor and weapons and disguises, finding out what exactly is in the bank/store, etc. And then BOOM! They get together and do that sh*t. That's the way I see it...

GTA-King
I'm most excited to see how the jewelry store heist is going to play out... especially who all is involved. Franklin seems to be the driver, Michael the lead man, and Trevor will most likely be on crowd control (hopefully he's not like Lynch & kills everyone). But there's a 4th guy who has yet to be identified. It's possible he could be one of Trevor's buddies. But yeah, the missions leading up to that one should be pretty good. Like how they come up with using a pest control company as cover.
vivalavendredi
I have a pretty cool plot (that won't make it in the game sadly ): Preparing the heist: 1st Mission: The police f*cked up our connection for special equipment and explosives. So we need to get some dynamites from a company out in countryside. Maybe this company uses this for controlled demolitions on buidlings or something. 2nd Mission: We need 2 big special trucks and an earthmover from a company that's either connected with the government (or the city leaders) with a special branding. Store them in a garage near the alamo sea. 3rd Mission: Get some headsets and radios with special frequencies. Need to be stolen from the FIB or something The Heist - Part 1 One of the protagonists (let's say Trevor) goes to the far east of Los Santos (for example) where a very important building / company is settled. We have to make the police attention go up to 4 stars here. Most of the cops rush to that spot. The Heist - Part 2 On the far west of Los Santos there is a federal bank depot. Franklin and Michael get the trucks and explosives and break into it, put as much as gold and stuff onto the trucks. We can then switch between Heist Part 1 and Heist Part 2, put gold on the trucks with some vehicles with the earthmover. As most of the cops are on the Part 1 Heist and we have these branded machines it will take a while to cause our attention. Of course in one point Trevor leaves the spot of police attraction to help us and escape. With a plane or helicopter. He comes to our spot. Then we either have to drive the trucks with the gold to the docks / garages and put it on a ship / in a container or something. yo, that's the rough plan. Another cool think would be if we could steal a submarine by using a plane with a hook (like the mission with the skylift in TBOGT)

He's nowhere to be seen in the trailer or the artwork referencing that job. Care to make a wager?

United_Stealth
I always loved the missions leading up to the heist and doing so feel like you're actually preparing for it. You're doing something more than just completing 'standalone' mission after 'standalone' mission.

Judging by this picture, I have no problem making a wager: http://wagszilla.com/GAF/GTAV-GI/cover-large.jpg Plus, I'm pretty sure it was just a beta version of Trevor in the first trailer.
