And I mean at *least* like 25 years in the past, preferably some time in the 1970's; a time period which no GTA to date has explored, but one that is just begging to be made into a game (my ideal years would be between 1972 and 1974, as I just love the music of that time- glam rock and funk and psychedelic rock, before disco took over, when peace and love and tripping balls were still in vogue). I'm sure they could work some of the game's more aged characters (~60+) into it, and I'm guessing it wouldn't be tooooo much work to go over the map and adjust things to be period correct and change the cars and characters and music. Then again, that may be too much work. I don't know. I doubt they will do this. It's just a wet dream of mine. Maybe if I'm lucky, a future GTA will be set in the 70's. And actually I wouldn't mind revisiting the 1980's or 1990's for that matter (Trevor and Michael's heyday perhaps?). All this boils down to me just missing the older GTA games which tapped into our nostalgia in such a powerful way. I'd love to see a return to that at least somewhere in some degree. Bertanius Posted January 11, 2013 Share Posted January 11, 2013 I myself can't stand DLC, games use to be what you pay for is what you got, nowadays you get games with only half of what should be in there, and the rest is sold in 60 separate DLC packs for $10 each. Sure it's a great marketing strategy, but it would be so annoying seeing so much pointless DLC coming out for a game like Grand Theft Auto. GTA IV's ones were different, they were expansion packs, they actually added a fair amount to the game, not 2 cars for $15. In the end, I just hope there is no DLC for GTA V, Rockstar already pushed out enough for Max Payne 3, and I don't want to see a great franchise like Grand Theft Auto getting pulled into the DLC craze. I also hope they don't release some 'special edition' pre-order copy for hundreds more, that's pointless too. If they do release DLC, I hope it's for multiplayer, because I never go near multiplayer in games (I play on PC by the way). Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
