I was bored with GTA IV's DLC's and started one and didn't bother with the other. I heard lots about them and wasn't really interested. But i would have been if the main character was Niko. westsidebud Posted January 9, 2013 Author Share Posted January 9, 2013 (edited) It's too damn early to be talking about DLC not really i bet there almost done with GTA 5 and are putting finishing touches on it for the spring release if not now then pretty quick.. then what ? most likely DLC's if they follow the trend from GTA 4. So if you wanna get heard i wouldn't wait until it's too late to speak up.. I think gta IV's DLC would have been better if they focused on Niko and i hope they don't do the same thing. Also i hope Game/Car modders don't have the same problems as GTA IV on PC. They shouldn't underestimate the value that modders bring to their games ! If there was one id like to see some of the side characters stories. See their motivations behind their actions in the game. Maybe even one of the antagonists. Gta bad guys normally work in the background. Think about what dmitri was up to in gta 4. How orchestrated was his betrayals against faustin and niko. Think about it Mr Houser!! more $ or £ for you and we get zombie mode... less working cars, nearly everyone is a zombie apart from a few npc's and ofc other players online. a reason to survive and a way so we would need food/water maybe? petrol + parts to keep our vehicles going, weapons would be rare as would ammo but there would nearly always be random items to use as weapons. we could board up our 'shelters' wherever they are, again with stuff we find. the atmosphere and lighting would need to be that bit darker to give the feel of it. Most of you are thinking of what saints row or sleeping dogs does, but that is pretty much the wrong type of DLC. DLC like the two IV DLCs or Skyrim DLCs ( In other words, expansions) cannot be done in time of the actual release AND they offer a new or different experience with new content and such.( releasing IV with tbogt and TLAD could have delayed it till 2009/2010 and the expansions would have not had the same feeling). RDR releasing with the undead nightmares DLC would have made no sense. Having ones experience is perfectly fine and changing that experiences like 5 to 7 months later with new content, story and such adds a lot to the game and lets it last longer/ brings back people to the game. Developers always have ideas, sometimes these ideas come out later so they can properly polish them. Most of you think they do it so scam people out of money for content already made after release, when honestly, the content is still being worked on moths after the actual release ( unless you talk about the SR/SD content, which is mainly just clothes/repainted cars except for like 1 or 2 of the DLC content, that is probably "disk locked content" which is wrong in many ways) TLDR: Yes, if done right and the DLC adds a new experience and content and expands the game months after release. I would be for a DLC if it was done the right way like the guy said. When i brought up the issue i was assuming people understood what i meant.. As in content that is extending the game that they would start working on AFTER the game is released. Zombies ? oh god please no we have enough zombie crap already You might as well do a bloody Gun Game version of GTA lol Another ultra lame idea that is way too popular ! You all wanna know what i want from the main game + any expansions / DLC's ? What made GTA great in the first place.. Pushing the boundaries ! When the controversy came up with the Hot Coffee mod for SA i was thinking, great now this will NEVER happen again ! When the series came out it was milestone after milestone of pushing things to the edge.. then look at no. 4 ..boring sadly. They did nothing *major worthy of a new game except improved graphics on it. and rather than improving things they stripped out so many things we loved in SA (big step backwards) If they can't push things to the edge and push the boundaries then i don't see much interest in GTA in the future. I'm a HUGE fan always have been but there is plenty of games on the net that are rehashed with better graphics.. Rockstar doesn't need to jump on that band wagon.. they should be leading it ! I was gonna start a Source Engine game years ago that was a knock off of GTA and i started doing a level and game mechanics etc but i soon realized that with out a LOT of help i'm wasting my time.. Technology will surpass what i can get done etc ..you need a lot of people to make a game like GTA. Why would I bother ? Because i in-visioned a game like i was alluding to earlier.. a GTA game thats takes things to a realistic level of accuracy and that means anything that happens in life should happen in the game no matter how controversial or offensive or whatever.. and let me tell you all i had some VERY VERY very crazy ideas ! lol muahhaha If i had got my game / source mod released i KNOW it would never see a retail store sale etc and would almost certainly get banned everywhere but it wouldn't matter because enough people would support the idea and make it popular by word of mouth etc. I like games like Postal where you used a cat's anus as a silencer or you had a unzip your fly button so you can pee on cops or home invasion victims. And no i didn't want some crazy wacky world of crap what I wanted was exactly what GTA is but with out the pussing out factor you guys get what i mean ? These (in my opinion) were way better than the main IV game. And in the end they fit so perfectly together For me IV + the 2 DLC made one perfect game! What I can imagine for V is the "prologue" with Michael before the V story starts. They did nothing *major worthy of a new game except improved graphics on it. what are you talking about fool IV was hella badass it had good graphics,good story,badass cars,improved physics,MP.why do ppl always bash IV it was a sick game did you play SA ? if i criticize i say why.. reread what i said by the way SA should have had the code finished for skateboards to go with the skate-park. i found references long ago about that in the game ..incomplete of course not sure if anyone noticed? and i think gta 4 was boring and the dlc's were way worse and i ain't the only one either lol i took out my dvd's installed 3 days later roughly i hung up my logitech gamepad.. i just lost interest.. and no i didn't go and play any other game either. about a month or 2 later i gave it another shot even though i felt disappointed and eventually finished the game i've insulted the game enough so i won't pick apart your comment too much lol boring but still highest on my list of favorite recent games Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
