Seatbelts

In GTA4 you were thrown out the window if you crashed too hard, but what if there was a seatbelt function in GTA V? It's like putting on a helmet on a motorcycle, you sit still for like a second and then you have a helmet on but in this case a seatbelt that prevents you from flying out the window. So what do you think, rather than flying out a window you lose a little health. So would this be a cool feature?

That is actually a good idea, give the player the option if he wants to get thrown out of the window or not.

The feature should be removed to begin with imo. Flying out of the car got old quickly. If it HAS to be in there, then I agree with you.

It'd be an awesome feature, but, If it takes a few seconds to put it on, it will also mean that bail-outs would take a few seconds longer..

I also want f*cking doors you can lock. I don't know about you, but I absolutely hate it with a burning passion when an APC rampage is ground to a halt because Luis didn't lock the f*cking door or have a seatbelt on and now I'm being punched by a taxi driver in the middle of what looks like a war zone with flaming cars near me so I could also possibly die of explosions.

I always thought the helmets were soo useless, having the helmet on or not was actually the same.

Yeah, seatbelts would be great in V, maybe we'll have them in VI.

As long as it takes less than 4 seconds, it would be annoying.

Yeah I've mentioned this idea before as well. I think the flying out of the car feature is ok since it's realistic and adds a fitting challenge to avoid crashing, but you should be able to prevent it by doing what most drivers do: wear a seatbelt. So there's a bit of a risk/reward system to there as well. If the cops are after you, you might have to hightail it out of there as quickly as you can, but at the cost of the risk of flying out if you get in a particularly bad collision. So if you take your time at the risk of getting caught faster, you make it so that a crash won't be as debilitating.

Sure, don't see why not. Certainly would reduce the number of times you fly through the windscreen upon impact.

I kinda like flying out of the window it looks cool, but it is a cool idea i wouldn't mind it at all.

But I highly doubt they'd do that.
