azali10
Simple ssassination missions, it may sound boring but it's pretty fun because you plan your killings, you use the guns you like, the getaway car you like, etc. This. This is what i've been hoping for too, Using an assassin gear, maybe a suit or a long black leather coat with a black hat and sun glasses with a silenced pistol and maybe a tranquilizer or something to make it more interesting. The fun part is planning how you're going to do the assassination, waiting for the perfect time in the cold, dark night, it could be from a window with a silenced sniper, or hidden in a bush. EDIT: Also, you're getting chased by a bunch of gang members or the cops, and someone is driving while you're shooting from the bike, going at top speed, going off-road to the mountains or alleys. Have you ever layer Hitman: Bloodmoney. So many possibilities in that game besides shooting and takedowns and a completley open mission map. It would be cool if GTA had similar mission. Most likely less elaborate ones. Best hitman game ever though.
Miss Darko
Even at the start of SA we still had to run errands. Personally I think they're very important to the flow of the story. I don't know about anyone else, but I wouldn't like it if at the start of GTA V if it was a heist from the get go. The only way I would accept it in this regard if the whole opening sequence was actually apart of the final mission and then it goes back to "A few months ago" to the real begining or something. Yeah, that would feel sort of weird. Just kind of artificial, I guess. I have the feeling that the part where Michael is in flip-flops, riding the bicycle around the city because his wife took the sports car, is the opening of the game, followed by Franklin's opening and then Trevor's, or vice-versa. (I personally think that's it all sort of one mission and it introduces the switch mechanic once you've got to a certain point with Michael who might be tailing his wife on his bike to see where she's going, providing prompts like they described in the extraction mission) Slow, expository missions that introduce the protagonists as well other important supporting characters like Michael's family. None of them start out in the fray quite yet; Michael has not yet decided to get back into the game, Franklin's doing his repo job which, while illegal, are nothing crazy (at least not yet), and Trevor's probably just spending his time enforcing his "enterprise". Then the FIB stuff gets Mike and Trevor back together, and Frank meets Mike during one of his repo missions. We know that the other demo mission with them extracting an FIB agent from the IAA building is the first time Franklin and Trevor meet, so that's the first one where all three are involved. So I think we see the overall flow of how the story goes early on, and while it probably kicks off to some of the more ridiculous stuff sooner than GTA IV did, it still has a build-up, and I'm sure there's a lot of variety even after that point. Houser described how the missions go all over the place, with crazy shoot-outs, infiltration, complex heists, and dealing with family issues. Which is primarily what I want to see from GTA V: lots of variety. Edited January 9, 2013 by Mr. Darko
ITSLOCBABY
I think most of Michael's missions will mainly be to do with the build up to the heists. Doing favours for favours, you know that kind of thing. Getting guns, vehicles, disguises etc. Trevor's will be with his drug organisation, and generally raising hell. And then helping Michael and the heists Frankiln's will be repo stuff at first and then stuff with his ghetto drug friend, but then getting into CJ type type, working for different people to get up on the food chain. I can see the 3 of them screwing each other over eventually, like Franklin gets to big for his boots or Trevor just loses his mind. That would so cool if you had to choose who you thought was right and then had to kill the other two. That would be BAD ASS.
