Michael's name could've been better...

There are no "better or "worse" names.

 

I mean, you wont go up to someone and say their name is ugly, they had no freedom in choosing it. I know these are video game characters but the same concept applies.

That's a blatant lie. Not having a choice in the matter does not mean it can't be considered bad.

 

There were a set of twins in my sister's high school. One's name was Lemonjello (Lah-mon-jah-low) and Limejello (Lom-jah-low). You mean to tell me that those are not horrible horrible names. And let's not forget the classic Pepsi-Cola Marijuana...

Maybe you have a point and those sister's name did make me chuckle for a sec, but, for me, I can't qualify something that cannot be changed nor chosen. Again, video game characters, I know, but same principle for me.

All it takes is a little money and a visit to the courthouse to legally change your name. Ron Artest changed his name to Meta World Peace. And CHad Johnson used to go by Chad Ochocinco, but I think he changed it back.

I think Michael is alright, I like Trevor too, suits his character. Not sure about Franklin, i can imagine people calling him Frankie and that'll be too Italian for me

Don't you think the name Michael is too common? It doesn't feel personal enough to me for a GTA protagonist... It's like say John, or Joseph, or something... A terribly cliché, stereotypical, english name. There must be a million guys in the US called by that.

I think Michael is alright. Since he's in witness protection, it might not even be his real name. But nonetheless, it's still an alright name.

To me, Franklin is the name that I think R* could've done better at.

I highly doubt Michael is not the character's real name. What would an old friend like Trevor call him throughout the game? Or his family?

 

Maybe Michael's false name under witness protection is ALbert de Silva.
