Mr_Leone
I think Joey, with Toni being the underboss. Family hierarchy I suppose. Sal's death was probably expected.
JustRob
I'm thinking Joey as well, since that's how it goes in a mafia family usually. Then again Joey wasn't a very punctual man, and I'm not sure if he'd be up for it. But with Toni's guidance he'd probably do okay.
The Notorious MOB
I'd say Toni.. I don't even think Joey was made in 2001, he was just an associate from what I remember. Although it could also be his uncle who we see at the end of LCS. I would say that after Salvatore got popped Joey got made and Mickey Hamfists got promoted to Capo alongside Luigi Goterelli with Toni as their boss or underboss. MyDog
Joey was probably the logical solution since he was most likely the underboss (otherwise he wouldn't have attended Sal's meeting) but between him and Toni, I think the capos would pick Toni so I guess Toni simply had Joey whacked and took over. Irrational
It was either Toni or Joey. But remember how Salvatore said that Toni was "the son he never had" and sh*t? I guess Toni would probably be the boss.
Space Cowboy
^Yep, I'm fairly sure that Sal liked Toni way more than his son Joey. Besides that apperantly Joey is not interested in big crimes like his dad.
The Notorious MOB
^Yep, I'm fairly sure that Sal liked Toni way more than his son Joey. Besides that apperantly Joey is not interested in big crimes like his dad. In Liberty City Stories Sal mentions something about Joey not being involved in the family business. By 2001 we can see that he has become a lot more involved (probably due to the weakening of the family) but he still seems to be nowhere near high up in the family since he needs to work a low level job in a chop shop. I would say he attends the meeting simply because he's Salvatores son and, let's face it because Rockstar needed more than two people to attend and Joey is the only other member of the Leones with a prominent role in the game. I think the mistake people commonly make is that they think that a Mafia family has the same structure as a regular family or a monarchy in that the Don's eldest or only son will be his underboss and the next in line for the position of boss of the family so they have attributed the position of underboss to Joey. Perhaps this is due to the Godfather movies, I don't know for sure.
Space Cowboy
I always felt that this part of story was unexplained in GTA III, we basically know nothing what happened to Leone family on Portland since Sal's death.
Hitman843
I assume they lost a LOT of influence in the city. The family most likely ended after Sal's death, or Toni lead it, but it became much weaker than before.
Lock n' Stock
Most likely Toni, before they got wiped out by the Pegorinos. Wait, what doesn't make sense since GTA III and GTA IV are different timelines.

In my opinion, Toni was wiser than Salvatore in some aspects, and this was shown on the last mission of LCS.
