cousinletsgobowling
First of all this is just a theory but since Trevor is an ex-military pilot what are the odds that Michael was probably in it too. Perhaps not a pilot but in another military division. That could perhaps explain their friendship. Perhaps they used to do missions together? Of course their friendship could have started after Trevor retired (or got kicked out) from the air force. And remember the second trailer with Michael rapelling down the skyscraper? Could he have learned that from the military? And finally with Franklin. Apparently he's a excellent sniper. Now, call me crazy but I find it a little odd that someone like Franklin could be an expert marksman without some form of sniper training. Or maybe he learnt that on the streets Maybe what makes Michael take a liking to Franklin was his ex military skills. Now this is probably not related but this reminded me of the movie 3 kings starring George Clooney, Mark Whalberg and Ice Cube who pull off a gold bullion heist. What do you think? Darbuka
Yes!! This would be great! And maybe we get a DLC about joining the army and being a soldier with the mountains and the desserts that are in the game this would be really cool. Kind of like the " undead nightmare " DLC but about the army
thestoneman420
I am interested in knowing how Franklin is a excellent marksman. Not saying he couldn't/shouldn't be, just interested in learning his background experience with sniper rifles being a car repo man.

The gangs have members who went to war so they can learn each others how to shoot. That's how Franklin learned how to shoot before he left his gang. Sokocfc
If Michael has experience with mountain climbing, he probably knows how to rappel. I dont know that much about the US armed forces, but maybe Franklin learned it during conscription. Edit: After checking a little i found out that the US does not enforce conscription. Rare Echelon
I'm not sure if R* has explicitly stated which service Trevor was in, but I'm thinking he may have been U.S Army SOAR or another SOC unit. The reason being that 1) He's a skilled pilot and 2) He knows how to handle a weapon (better than your average pilot I'm guessing). If GTA history is anything to go by, he could also have been in the U.S Marine Corps. Luis' father and Johnny' brother both served in the Corps so maybe a back story could develop from there? What's also interesting is that IIRC only Chief Warrant Officers and Commissioned Officers pilot aircraft, which means that Trevor was pretty high-ranking (for a lunatic). Anyway; Michael and Franklin could well have served in the military, but obviously not in the same unit or service. Perhaps they were both unaware of their shared military background until Trevor mentions serving with Michael. This would explain a lot as the execution of the heist missions (as evidenced from both trailers) appear to be made with military precision. Just thinking of a 3-man fire team causing death and destruction through the city of Los Santos is scary to say the least. For the civilians that is. I think it'd be awesome. copperrobber
Apparently one thing is that Michael is a retired mobster.
