I would def. be flippin the f*ck out but what can you do about it right? At this point, I've played to much GTA IV and my excitment for GTA V has flatlined since trailer 2 and the GI cover, I dunno why, but I wouldn't be surprised if GTA V does get delayed. I'm just expecting what R* divulged, but more importantly, a QUALITY game that will keep me entertained for years to come...until the next GTA arises from the R* equivalent of the Walt Disney volt, LOL.

Considering it's been in development since about 2008/2009, I'd be expecting the best game in the last 15 years.

I dont know what I'll do but Rockstar would have to put security around their development studios. The market they sell their products too aren't necessarily the most stable of individuals.

In that case, 2013 would be just like 2012 was, with the Trailer #1 tease and unbearable miserable silence thereafter.

 

When Rockstar puts out a press release soon saying, "GTAV will be released in Spring 2013 or so," then we will know it's slipping to 2014.

 

I'm willing to wait for quality, as long as Rockstar keeps trickling out screenshots, trailers, interviews and demos to the press, like they have been doing since November 2012.

I'd break into the Rockstar HQ and steal a beta copy of the game, Jtag my Xbox so I can run it, and then possibly leak info.

 

More seriously, I"d be very pissed off at the time, but when it comes time to pick up the game I'll probably be happier than when I would of picked it up at the original announced date.

 

But as far as delays are concerned. Reasons why it won't get delayed (or delay is just for a smaller amount of time like a week.)

-Rockstar seemed to of learned from GTA IV. RDR, MP3, and LA Noire haven't been delayed.

-Rockstar has been keeping quiet about this game more so than GTA IV as far as the release is concerned. They are not going to keep announcing release dates like with IV. (That was f*cking torture but when the game came out I was so happy to finally play it.) They want the date that they announce to be certain.

-Game reviews said that GTA V looked much more finished in its preview than GTA IV did when it was previewed.

-GTA IV was Rockstar's first next generation game. They have more experience from all their other games by now so they can do better.

 

If the game gets delayed, which everyone here certainly hopes it does not, the latest I could see it getting held off would be like Fall 2013.

 

@zee: Please don't say that lol. We don't want to have it happen. I can't imagen how many angry letters Rockstar would get, and how much money Rockstar would loose if that happened. But I feel more confident about this game. I have a feeling that it may come out in March/April.

Not by that much. I never really payed attention though. I know for a fact though it wasn't as long as GTA IV.
