GTA3Rockstar
Recently checked my phone and noticed I had these weird applications installed that can't be uninstalled. One is keytracer, it has every permission available. Your personal info Services that cost you money Your messages Your location Network communication Your accounts Storage Phone calls Hardware controls System tools Searched all over and noone seems to have a definitive answer to why this is installed. Anyone know?
Finn 7 five 11
It's nothing, it comes stock installed on some phones, pretty much no way of removing it. It's not spyware or a key logger. It might even just be another name for swype, here. http://forums.androidcentral.com/verizon-f...-keytracer.html

Pretty sure I never saw it the first time I used this phone but I'll just see what happens.
sivispacem
It's benign in itself (I think it's effectively designed for recovery of stolen phones) but it can be used by other malicious programmes to take control of your phone. Like that threat suggests, there's no harm in using one of the programmes to freeze it's activity and effectively block it, as I don't think it can be deleted. It doesn't show its running anyways and I think you could if you rooted it but no-harm done yet, especially if its not running. We'll see
