Those who are freaking out and overreacting should probably stop eating meat altogether.

Anyone else not surprised.

By the way, that is probably natural. It just wasn't cooked enough is my bet.

I love carnivores' reactions to things like this. You put utter crap like this down your throats every day happily enough, what's so bad about some liver?

Not really KFC's fault, it's whoever supplies the chickens over there.

Yeah well it's KFC's fault for choosing to get supplied with sh*tty chicken.

Well in Australia the suppliers are leading companies, I would assume for such a large company wherever this story happened they would be doing exactly the same (Being supplied by a large leading company). Fast food giants like Mcdonalds and KFC are usually very sanitary because they are such large chains they are often prone to inspections. These incidents are relatively isolated and are bound to happen when you have thousands of stores and thousands of pieces of chicken being sold every hour with hundreds of thousands of employees there is bound to be a mistake somewhere along the line, who gives a f*ck anyway? It's a piece of liver.

I once had a chicken nugget from McDonald's that had a large green area inside it.

Did not eat it, took it to the counter and got 2 meals back for free.

I Dont see the problem really. Yes it may be unsavory to look at but it IS chicken. Its not like it was a rat or a human's kidney. I guess that's just me though coming from a family that ate gizzards and chitterlings (I hate chitterlings)

I didn't know what a kidney looked like, so I would've freaked out if I found that at KFC. I would've thought it was a brain that was too big for a chicken, and would've wondered what it was doing there.

I haven't been to a fast food restaurant for several years so I wouldn't have worried anyway.

I like foie gras, which is goose liver. I haven't tried any kidneys.

It would've been fun if the guy ate the chicken straight up instead of carving it with his fingers little by little. ph34r.gif

Not only is it goose liver, the goose is force fed until its stomach ruptures and the goo they scoop/retrieve is fois gras.

Actually, it isn't force-fed until the stomach ruptures. The last thing you want is a rupture of the stomach or oesophagus, purely because any ingress of stomach acids or enzymes into the trunk of the body would ruin the flavour of the liver. That isn't to say it's a particularly humane way of treating animals, but your statement is entirely factually incorrect- partially because of this, and partially because Foie Gras is composed of liver, and not stomach or it's contents.

It's also freakin' delicious.

Gotta agree with ryu here. I've read worse stories.

Also, it's not like these things happen on a regular basis. It's only once or maybe a couple of times a year that you get to hear such things. All my visits to fast food joints have been quite satisfactory and just because someone else in some part of the world got handed a poor deal, it's not going to make me stop going there.

Oh sh*t, I didn't mean to write stomach.

But they are force fed until their liver is pretty f*cked. (if the fois gras is made properly at least.)

Unless it was the Einstein of chickens there is no way a chicken's brain is that big.

Oh no! Part of chicken found in chicken.

^This.

When prepare and deep fry hundreds of thousands of chickens every day across the world, things like this are bound to happen at some point.

I would rather find this kidney in my chicken than get food poisoning any day.

Sad part is they probably called 911 over it.

Why would he call 911 if he lives in the UK. notify.gif

Well aren't you a smart boy. I just naturally assumed a story that involves KFC + overreaction must be in America. My bad

Don't feel bad. America represents a broad cross section of all kinds of people. The kind of people we like to make fun of here anyway doesn't read posts here.

They're too busy lining up as an audience for Jerry Springer.

Yeah. I'll be honest , I'm kind of ashamed of my country. Where acting like a "badass" is cool and YOLO actually turns into a whole series of clothing. Oh and don't forget SWAGG!

Luckily most, actually and sadly a few still use YOLO and say they have swag on some occasions most of my friends are normal. My close friends and I usually mock people like that.

OT: I'm beginning to think it is just undercooked, I don't believe it was accidentally placed there.

No. This is disgusting. Parts of chickens should not be allowed to come into contact with chickens at any point in time. Thinking about the fact that my chicken dinner may have at one point come in contact with a liver from an animal as dirty as a chicken is sickening. This is why I eat processed chicken, you don't find this stuff in processed chicken. It's all ground up so you're none the wiser.
