GTA IV Saves

So, I will to format my computer today, and need to know where are my save games for IV and EFLC, I searched variosu places, but couldn't find them. Anyone knows? I also heard you need to save something from GFWL, and couldn't find it too. Or is it saved online?

Well, here they should be:

Windows Vista - C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\savegames

Windows 7 - C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\savegames

Windows XP - C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\savegames

 

But, in case you're using xliveless, they should be located in the "My Documents" folder: My Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\savegames. If you can't still find them, go to Start --> Search --> All files and folders and type in SGTA4. It should find all files that start with these letters / numbers; the way all GTA IV savegames start. Thanks, it worked. By the way, I heard you might need to backup something else from GFWL, is it true? Also, there are EFLC saves in there too, right?

Umm, no I don't know about anything needed to back-up from Games for Windows Live. All I know is about needing to install the Games for Windows Live Update. And yeah, in the Rockstar Games folder from My Documents you should also find the TLAD & TBoGT save game folders.
