Muscle/Classics Cars for GTA 5?

To all,

 

I don't visit the forum much since I work and have a pretty busy life. However, when I do have spare time I do play GTA IV some. That being said I grew up around muscle cars/classics and I own a 68 Dodge Coronet 440 trim line with a hopped up 318 engine which is basically the same as a 68 Dodge Super Bee and Coronet R/T. I haven't seen much in the way of images for classic cars for GTA V. I know the IV version had the Dukes which looks to be hybrid between a Charger and GTO it seems. That being said just haven't seen any screenshots and wondering if Rockstar has anything up their sleeve.

I'd love to see a muscle car based on the 1967 Impala for rushing through the desert, or a late 60s early 70s Plymouth Roadrunner, a 1960s Charger... there are too many I'd like to see

Hopefully we'll have some vehicle customization, so I can give the Dukes a bit more speed (it was terrible to drive in IV) and add a little more style to the Vigero (paint it blue with white stripes, new rims and slightly lower the ride height.)

In IV practically all variants of the Vigero didn't look very well kept and the colours were f*ck ugly for the most part.

I'm a musclecar fan myself. I've owned about a dozen different Mopars in my life, and currently own this 2010 Camaro. I changed the cam, intake and put headers with full exhaust. It's now pushing around 540 Horsepower.

I am Mopar guy for now but, I also like GM products and Ford products alike. And oh yeah AMC (American Motor Corporation) products as well. 73 duster just wanted to say nice Camaro. Sounds great and looks great.

I'd like to think that their vehicle choice is affected by the antagonists.

Niko with the 80's/90's cars and Japanese tuner classics, Johnny with the Bikes and Luis with the luxury/sport cars.

It'll be interesting to the see the mix now.

Michael's character would suit luxury cars or perhaps the american classics you're into.

Franklin seems to be into the luxury sport cars and perhaps some lowriders (screenshot with Chop)

Trevor with the off road and the aircraft.

GTA has always had a couple of muscle cars, but nothing really special. They were more in the mold of Chevelles and olds 442s. I THINK i remember something similar to the 80's Camaros as well. It would be nice to see some Mopars and rarer musclecars.

cars has always been one of my favorite things about gta and i hope we can customize cars to give them better performance. imagine a dukes

with a supercharger and around 600hp.

you lucky son of a bitch(do you have an automatic or manual?) why can't america make cars like that anymore 60s-70s muscle cars were the definition of badass. sure we have a couple of muscle cars left: 2012 dodge challenger srt8, 2012 mustang, 2012 camaro, 2012 dodge charger. but car manufactuerers would much rather put together pansy ass hybrids and putting huge amounts of horse power in cars that don't even need it. not to mention so few cars even can get a manual transmission. my uncles' got an 08 mustang bullitt 6 speed, which is pretty damn cool.

I hope they have the original VW beetle. It's such an icon and it was so ubiquitous back in the day. In So-cal especially, there must be a lot of them still on the road. Cars just don't rust in the southwest US. I've lived my whole life on the east coast and when I took my first trip west of the Mississippi in 2011, I was surprised how many old cars I saw being used as daily drivers. They could call the VW bug the "bumblebee" or the "bee", in reference to the Transformers character, who was a beetle (originally).

 

Also, I would love to see a Citroen DS and/or SM. Those are my dream cars- so beautiful.

I mean, they put a lot of cars in GTA 4 that were from the 70's and 80's that you really don't see much anymore in real life. And as long as rockstar is putting classic cars in games I think they should consider the beetle in V even if it is rare. And the fugliness is part of their charm at least for me.

NO! The one thing that made the Dukes so special was It's awesome handling, It needs to stay the same if the car is going to return. It should have more topspeed tho.

I like the idea of the Beetle, I'm not its biggest fan, but they actually had a big impact in California. Anyway, R* has included the Camper, which is based on the mythical 60s VW van, therefore there are enough Volkswagen for me taste.

I want a strong mix of muscle, vintage and classic cars too

 

For pony and muscle cars I want to see the 3 main modern pony cars (camaro, challenger and mustang), they look awesome

 

But I also want a nice amount of classic muscle and pony cars from 60s-90s (half a dozen would be nice)

 

Then I would like to see some classic cars such as cadillac, lincoln, pontiac, plymouth etc

 

Hopefully we get around 150 cars along with a further 100 other vehicles (bikes, boats, planes, helis etc)

 

 

Will GTA V have the largest amount of vehicles to date for a GTA game?

I agree. Old muscle cars like the Dukes were never known for their handling. They were more suited to drag races. If they gave it great handling, it wouldn't make sense. Maybe give the option for us to tweak it at an auto shop or something though.

The Faction from IV already took over the place of the 80's buick G-Body, being modeled after the Grand National. Unless they made a separate base-model version of the Faction with a V8. Which would be slower.
