ZZCOOL Posted January 4, 2013 Share Posted January 4, 2013 (edited) thought i'd share this for some reason anyway i am starting to notice a patthern when it comes to pictures and what we can see it is ALWAYS the same location the new screenshot is the same location possibly taken the same time as the other burning screenshot it seems all screenshots and what we see has to stay at the same place it seems we are constantly stuck at the same location makes me think again these pictures are very old the new pickup screenshot was taken at the same time the other one was the pickup scene is a demo they were showing (it is the same truck at the same location same weather same time all is the same just a different approach to the demo) it is also possible it is the same location but not same place (trees) then again the tree is probably not visible in one picture maybe the world is not yet alive all cars are just frozen to locations and vehicles and peds etc as all cars seem to be at the exact same location same with the vinewood sign same police cars just different time it seems everything we see is always at the same location if not close to the same location (my theory all of the screenshots are taken at the same time following the GI release) i think they are hiding SOMETHING thoughts? oh and as always lock if this isn't interesting or worthless etc Edited January 4, 2013 by zzcool Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

However, they are also clearly done at different times as we see different details in each one, such as how the truck is in one position in one of them and in another in the other one, and different times of day. Each screenshot is being done at a separate time, but depicting the same demo. I think part of the reason for this has been brought up earlier in this topic: they have to release screenshots once in a while to keep interest, but they don't want to reveal too much about the game. Thus, the screenshots are done depicting the same parts of the demos, but with small differences to show us something slightly new, and to show us improvements that have been made since earlier versions of the game. So I'm guessing someone's going to come along in a helicopter & pick him up (which you could obviously do yourself by switching characters). Yeah, but the demos didn't involve going up the Vinewood sign. There was the opening mission with Michael (which involved biking around the Rockford Hills in flip-flips), some freeroaming with Trevor (where he blew up the truck with a gas can and a lighter), freeroaming with Franklin, then the mission involving all three being hired by the FIB to extract a man from the IAA headquarters. And I say this because every single magazine preview that mentioned concrete aspects of the game talked about the exact same demo, as opposed to different demos for each one. In the earlier screenshot, the pickup is beside the shop, but in the new one, the pickup is infront of the shop. Bitches_Brew Posted January 5, 2013 Share Posted January 5, 2013 i think they are hiding SOMETHING thoughts? i thought there used to be a topic on this a while ago after those first screens were released, but i couldn't find it. i remember mentioning it back in july..... the only reason i still have a little hope left for the other cities are the screenshots. giving us that heli picture with basically the same background as the trailer made it seem like they were hiding something. it's obvious they don't want us to see the other side of the city. before the screenshots i had no hope SF and LV, but now i'm .003% sure they could be there. that .003% i stated back then is still accurate, but i think the chance of another city aside from SF and LV is 90%. R* has already stated their reasons for there being only one city in the game. But there's a lot to this map other than Los Santos and personally I find that stuff more interesting. They show us the same areas from different perspectives 1 to represent the different character perspectives (metaphorical thing) and 2 mostly prominently to keep most of the map hush hush.
