Miss Darko Posted January 4, 2013 Share Posted January 4, 2013 (edited) Like any open world game, the greatness of the graphics will be dependent on many factors, which of course change constantly, like lighting. The game will look amazing at times but not so great at other times. RDR is one of the best looking open world games out there, but there are times when it looks less than stellar (but still good). However, you're exaggerating a bit. That screen still looks a lot better than a PS2 game. One thing people also don't take into account is distance. The foliage will look very different depending on how close you are to it, it's one of the things that will likely pop in at its highest quality when you're pretty close to it, like in RDR. Just look at all the IV screens that were put out before release. They looked terrible compared to the final build. So I'm going to hold my breath until I have it in my PS3. Therefore i honestly believe some screenshots have been edited a bit, it's just that simple. There are screenshots out there that don't contain a single jagged edge, clean as hell, and then you got others where things are really bad looking. It is what it is... I'm not worried though, screenshots for videogames have never done any game justice, never. GTA IV had some pretty bad screenshots and the game itself looked a lot better, same goes for RDR too.
