My PS3 GTA V slide show is getting impressive, I just need more music for it now. I'm pretty sure Rockstar released GTa2. Why else would their name show up when starting the game? It doesn't really matter whether the developer is called DMA Design or Rockstar North. However, there will be most likely not be a GTAV demo. I just noticed that even GTA 3 has DMA design in the intro. To further derail the topic I think R* were still just the publishers of GTA until they bought DMA in 2002, after GTA III. Just the publisher? I think it would be the publisher who decides whether a demo or other marketing initiatives are needed or not. The developer only creates the game and that's it. DMA Design or Rockstar North, it hardly matters as long as the publisher is the same. It's just a name change which reflects the Rockstar umbrella. wasn't DMA Design owned by someone else, then they were called Rockstar North after Dan and Sam took over and bought it from the previous owner? The ownership of GTA and DMA transferred to Take-Two in two stages, in 1998 and in 1999 (not 2002). In 1996 or so, DMA founder David Jones took a demo of Race 'n' Chase to Sam Houser at BMG Interactive. Race 'n' Case evolved into GTA and was published by BMG Interactive. In 1997 Jones made a deal to merge DMA with a different publisher, Gremlin Interactive, but the rights to GTA already belonged to BMG Interactive. In 1998, Take-Two bought BMG Interactive (and the rights to GTA) and Sam moved to New York, followed by Dan six months later. Sam's deal with Take-Two was to run a publishing label which he named Rockstar Games. Meanwhile, the Gremlin deal wasn't working out so well and in 1999 Gremlin was bought by Infogrames which meant Infogrames owned DMA without rights to GTA. At Sam Houser's urging, Take-Two bought DMA in September 1999 for $11 million. David Jones left DMA. Take-Two-owned DMA kept its name until after GTA3. GTA2 and GTA3 are Rockstar North games in all but name because the ownership was the same as it is now for all games in the series except the original GTA and London packs. GTA2 was mainly done before the acquisition but was released after. If I'm not wrong then Michael is holding a Colt and Franklin is holding a Glock. The Colt didn't appear in GTA IV, but in III, VC and SA it did. The previews that saw the demo mentioned how the tires popped due to the fire before it exploded. So right now it's just on fire and the wheels have popped, and it's almost about to explode.
