T0X1C Posted December 26, 2012 Share Posted December 26, 2012 Well considering that there are animals in the game I think it would be awesome to have a zoo with enclosures that u can break into. I guess it kinda hinges on the number of animals already in the open world of the game, but I don't see why they couldn't put in a couple of elephants, for example, that only spawn in the enclosures. I guess it would be pretty difficult to have animal physics for so many diverse animals, a zoo would be pretty pointless if it only had a few coyotes and birds in it. Do u think it's likely that Rockstar would put the effort into something like this? The entertainment value could be astronomical! Set a lion on some peds, start an elephant stampede down Rodeo maybe? *Random Related Backstory* When GTA 4 was released I didn't have a ps3 and had no intention of getting 1 despite being a huge fan of the series. I had an awesome dream about the Manhattan Zoo being in the game, so awesome that when I woke up on the very next morning I went straight to the store and bought a ps3 + GTA 4. Especially considering there's another title called Red Dead Redemption where you can kill and skin animals. There's dogs, too. The player can kick him around if he feels the need. They said they've thought of everything for V, since animals are in and LA has a zoo, it would only be common sense. I see nothing wrong with killing animals in a VIDEO GAME and PETA can go sit on their own heads if it bothers them.. since when has R* ever given into this whole 'political correctness' bs anyways? They're always the ones who take something that's taboo and then push it to the extreme, if anything they'll make a zoo massacre minigame just because they can lol. Well Pokemon basically is like cockfighting but PETA blows everything out of the water. I never used Hi Jump Kick on my cat or used Flamethrower on my dog. To sum it up, PETA should just go away. OT: A zoo would be interesing, however, I doubt it will happen. It would be cool to release the animals from the zoo and hop on a rhino (I hope the Rhino tank is back) and cause some chaos. But from what weve seen so far of Los Santos, theres no zoo. Judging by the trailers and massive amount of screenshots, we have seen about 75% of Los Santos, maybe about 40% of it clearly and up close. Reliable GTA.net folks, am I remembering correctly? I can't find anything about it on GTA wiki so I'm not too confident about it now, but I thought it was on the radio/internet. Also I let out a hearty chuckle every time someone brings up PETA. Red Dead, Far Cry 3 and Assassin's Creed 3 ring a bell anyone? Plus has everyone hit their head and forgotten about wanted levels? Those who think it would be wrong to kill virtual animals, there WILL BE virtual consequences...it's not like shooting a bear in a zoo wouldn't create attention. Then again many cities have their zoos outside of the city, we haven't seen much of that area. Not sure where the Los Angeles zoo is located... Ok well I noticed that the zoo is located in Gtiffith Park, which is quite large and also contains a golf course which IS in the game. In the screen with Franklin and Michael having a conversation overlooking the whole of Los Santos, there is a small part of a green area to the bottom right. I'm sure itself the golf course, zoo somewhere as well perhaps? I know that there'll be plenty of controversy if a zoo was included, but causing controversy has kinda been what GTA is all about. I actually bought GTA 3 all those years ago after I read about the anti-GTA campaign and thought "man... that sounds like an awesome game." Killing animals in videogames is A-OK if you ask me Now that a zoo has been mentioned, I really want to see it in V...!
