Anyway, the graphics might not be so amazing but you have to think it's due to the size of the map and detail... Explain how the gfx aren't amazing? Have a look at the water in the submarine pic. In the pic with the dog in the car ... look at the background. Nearly everything is very blurred. Look at the shark, it doesn't look that good. I SHADOWFOX I Posted December 24, 2012 Share Posted December 24, 2012 (edited) Got an awful lot of haters in here, go take a look of the pre-released gta iV screens and tell me that if you get on that game right now ( not the pc version ) that with updates the game looks better ten fold, I'm not sure why people complain so much before they get their hands on the game espically when IT'S F*UCKING ROCKSTAR, have they ever let us down? and besides all of that you gotta keep in mind this is a current gen game, and that being said, they are developing this game on the same hardware IV was made on, there's only so much they can do. I SHADOWFOX I Posted December 24, 2012 Share Posted December 24, 2012 (edited) also looks like in the submarine photo behind the submarine looks like a water mine Good eye, I did not see that, if its not a mine, I'm not sure what it could be, seeing as you can clearly point out the bouy off to the left @ haarp actually I'm not, I actually put thought into my post, I have been gone for months and I come back and I see people are still bashing rockstar because their expectations were too high for a game built on dated hardware, most people don't understand the counsel limitations of this gen, I for one don't see anything wrong with any of the pics, but when I read " the reflection on the cars side mirror isn't reflecting the environment correctly" I mean honestly who the f*ck cares, it's comments like that that made me post that comment, if you can sit there and nitpick a game for small graphical errors BEFORE its released, then yes, I will tell you to calm down and just relax, GTA is developed by one of the worlds best, they never let us down before, and I doubt they will start now. The PC ports have the options of anti-aliasing and higher-quality textures and effects. These screenshots were made on a modded console to make the custom camera angles, but that's about it. Second, the graphics are subject to be improved over time. There's still 3-5 months until its release. And finally, to the people who think the trailer looks way better, or the screens look photoshopped: Videos on YouTube get compressed because of their format, and that hides many of the issues.
