Cudwieser
Don't panic. You'll enjoy it more if you take your time. An episode a night will prevent a burn out and distraction. Take it from someone who spent years away, a burnout ain't good and persistent viewing will only drive you away. Keep good pace, be discerning and enjoy it little by little and you'll be in touch sooner than you think. Richard Power Colt
Watched the first episode of db super It was everything I thought it'd be Is it good ? Or just DB ?It's good, it really felt great seeing the z fighters againThe character interactions were a big plus, and the world feels more alive I enjoyed the first two episodes. The moments with Videl and Gohan felt a bit off for me, but maybe that's, because we haven't really had a proper romance in the series before. The humor is there and the characters feel right. So far nothing too special has happened and it looks like the 2 new movies are actually part of the series and Battle Of Gods might just begin in the next one. Soo.. it's gonna be a few episodes before we actually start seeing some proper new story.
UptownRider
Bleach and Samurai Champloo are my favorites Although I'll admit Bleach started going a bit downhill after the first few seasons. (Mostly because of all those damn fillers) But I still love it!

69_black_69
So, it is almost the end of this year summer season. Does your opinions change about some currently airing animes?Rokka no Yuusha Not a fan at first, but the premise drew me in, so i decided to kept watching it. Gradually growing more intense as i racked my brain out trying to figure out who the 7th braves is. So much fun. The suspense and the anticipation for the next episode is killing me. I need to seriously avoid spoilers, have to figured it out myself. Am ready to be blown away/disappointed.Gakkou GurashiIt had such a great first episode, but as more episodes goes on, my impression goes down as well. They decided to go more 'Cute' instead of being serious, which is such a shame. They slow down the pace as well, which makes things worst. I decided to read the manga, and the only cuteness i got from there is the character design. So, i suggest to read the manga instead if moe is infectious to you. It was pretty serious in the manga most of the time.CharlotteStill not a fan, although the story gets pretty interesting as more episodes goes on. Not enough to warrant my anticipation though, but still curious on how things will end.Classroom CrisisEarly episodes is pretty much boring. But it gradually gets interesting though as they decided to tone down the 'cuteness' and gets serious in the plot and char development. Richard Power Colt
This is just dreadful. It's got a little better in the later episodes, but just how the f*ck do they let this sh*t slip by especially when DB is such a fight-centric series: Also at first I was kinda fine with them remaking Battle Of Gods, but so far things like this and how they don't really change the story in an interesting way just kinda makes me wish they had started with something new. I don't think it's really an improvement over BOG so I don't see why it need to exist. I like the comedy tho. Kippers
I burnt out hard on anime just as I started watching Blue Exorcist. I'd watched Attack on Titan, Psycho Pass, Kill La Kill, Stand Alone Complex and Sword Art Online Series 1 back to back to back to back to back. Thinking of getting back into it. I was drunk as hell when I watched Redline and it made absolutely no sense. I should start by rewatching it properly. Has there ever been an anime of the 'Yotsubato' manga? I've just started reading it in Japanese, and it's making for some good, tough practice. It's enjoyable and light hearted so far. 習うより慣れろ

From what i heard, the author disliked the anime adaptation of his other work, Azumanga Daioh. So, he doesn't allow Yotsubato to be animated. They had one of the best animation supervisors (naoki Tate), but outsourcing is a *****. It'll most likely be fixed for dvd/blu-Ray, this goes a little more into stuff like that. TheGodDamnMaster
Honestly, it seems like a waste of time, labor and financial resources for Toei to be re-telling the movies in episodic format (with sh*t animation to boot), when they could simply air them instead. I haven't even watched the show since episode 5 and have no desire to go back until we actually get the new story. Additionally, I felt BoG was a decent movie, but Revival of F was a complete waste of storytelling because it added nothing to the overall plot and only further convinced me that Toriyama just doesn't give a sh*t anymore. I mean just look at the new forms for the characters; they're f*cking re-colors. My niece could have come up with a better design for the new forms. /rant I watched the first season of Yu Yu Hakusho for the first time a week ago, I really liked it. Richard Power Colt
SSJG is kinda boring, but at the same time, I like that they just didn't do something over the top like SSJ4. SSJG is actually quite unique, because it makes Goku look young and kind instead of a badass like a super saiyan. I thought the whole transformation process felt a bit like cheap ex machina tho. Wasn't it invented by some random saiyans who needed help? I don't think becoming a god should be that easy.

Wasn't it invented by some random saiyans who needed help? I don't think becoming a god should be that easy. No, it was invented by an animation studio that was desperate to continue exploiting one of their cash cow franchises. Six "pure-hearted" saiyans? Bullsh*t. The saiyans were a ruthless barbarian race and there is simply no way that six of them with "pure hearts" managed to come together and figure out that "Hey, we can make a god!". Agreed And yes, finish Yu Yu hakusho, it's awesome I wasn't necessarily referring to SSJG as a recolor, but I certainly was talking about the blue-haired Super Saiyans that showed up in the last movie. That is not only a recolor, but we are given no context as to how the form was reached. How exactly was Vegeta able to reach the form if he never made the transition into the form that precedes it? I just don't see Gohan, Goku, Videl, etc. coming together again just so Vegeta can continue his quest for power. As for Frieza, I don't really care what the reason is for the re-color, it's still pretty damn lazy. It also bugs me significantly that he was able to have such an unbelievable spike in power level over the course of only a few months. He goes from being just below a Super Saiyan 1 in terms of raw power to someone that could crush Majin Buu in less than a year. Toriyama has abandoned common sense and integrity in order to pander to a bunch of nostalgic fanboys who just want lazy rehashes of villains and fights we've seen before. They should have never revived the series if this is the direction they're going in for Super. Richard Power Colt
I haven't seen Resurrection of F, but it sounds like a bunch of lazy fan-service to me. Maybe some people were pissed off about Battle Of Gods, because it was something different for once. DBZ has never been all that logical or consistent and it's mostly been forgiveable, but Frieza training a few months to reach Goku's level just sounds absurd. It seems like that but it actually wasn't.... Sure he trained to reach a new transformation that rivaled goku's power but, he still was no match forGoku as frieza was naive and went off to fight goku without allowing his body to get used to the transformation's power and thus lost cause he couldn't control the power much like in broly's case. Also since Saturday I've been watching Dragon Ball series for the first time and I'm on episode 75 or 76 now and it really shows how goku met the people he knows at the beginning of the Z series and why the red ribbon army had a vendetta against goku to the point of creating androids in the Z series to defeat him so It's really interesting to watch and fun Edited September 17, 2015 by AboveAndBeyoncé
Richard Power Colt
I actually prefer the original Dragon Ball over DBZ, because the story is more creative and varied. They should have never revived the series if this is the direction they're going in for Super. No context? There is context, the form is literally super saiyan. The only difference is that it's using different "fuel" (God Ki) to use it. Vegeta evidently went ssjg sometime in between RoF and BoG, considering he has both saiyan beyond God and bluper saiyan, which super will most likely delve more into (heck, the recent manga chapter shows that champa is the reason freeza is getting revived). I don't know, considering the complete BS that has happened in dbz (goku going from below vegeta to above freeza' other forms through a literal plot device comes to mind, ugh, still trying to get over that). Plot has always determined power, as stupid as it sounds (and it's pretty stupid)Pander to the fanboys? More like children, for real, that's always been who it's pandered to XD

The notion that after only a few months of training he surpasses Buu is indeed absurd to an astounding degree. Toriyama should have never agreed to come back, I've lost a lot of respect for him as a writer. It's a shame too, considering his current Jaco manga series is perhaps his finest work to date.
