Textures bug on Android

Yeah I don't use email, or social networking apps, sometimes I use Steam when I'm not at my computer but I don't normally have a lot of stuff open in the background. Are you running Jelly Bean? Also, It's amazing how much the AMOLED display actually changes colours. The screenshot you posted shows a grey UI on my computer screen yet when I look on my phone it's bluer.

Guys, I have the same problem on my Galaxy Tab 7.0 plus, game looks horrible (except for in-game tommy and the shadow textures)

 

Unfortunately my tab isn't in the supported devices list (FOR SOME RETARDED REASON), but Rockstar is watching the reviews on Google Play, cause after I left a review that the texture resolution is f*cked on lots of Samsung devices, they responded saying "DURRR CHEK IF DEVICE IS ON SUPPRTED LIST"

 

So what I'm saying is, if you're on the supported devices list with like a S2 or anything that's supported and has the same texture resolution problem, please leave a 1 or 2 star review and write in the review that the texture resolution is messed up on lots of samsung devices, hopefully then it'll catch their eyes and fix the problem (it's so stupid, GTA3 didn't have any problem with texture resolution at all... and performed even better)

^They should be aware of it now; I sent them a support ticket and they said that they had created a report on both the textures and the mission crashes and that they had sent it to the developers(War Drum Studios I presume).

Some textures on Xperia play are awful sad.gif just like in pics which you posted. BTW about your mod I prefer VC stations actually, but I migh consider putting VCS ones sometime .. tounge.gif

As far as I know the Xperia Play is an old device so the low quality textures are probably intentional. But textures like this on the cutting-edge S3 is just unacceptable.

Spuds,can you tell me how does your Galaxy S3 have 1.5GB RAM in total to use?

Mine only has a limit of 779 MB...

Spuds' S3 has 2GB of Ram because he has the 4G North American version, whereas you and me, we have the international version that only has 1GB of RAM.

Yep... what he said... we have a lessor processor but more ram-- of the 2 GB of ram, about 1.5 GB of it is usable.

 

Really Vice City is the only APP that has ever "struggled" on my device--- in that I mean I will occasionally get some FPS lag (when alot of stuff is going on-- ie 5 or 6 stars wanted level)-- and I have had some issues doing dildo dodo mission for the film studio-- a few lock ups.

 

I have not played very far on GTA III but it seems to run fine.....

 

and FYI--- I did install VC on my Kid's Nexus 7 this morning--- the dakota sign looked pretty much the same to me-- I didn't really check out anything else... I am unable to take a screen capture on it so I can't post one. My (OLD) eyes liked it better on the big screen though.

Or if you're the lucky bastard who resides in South Korea or Australia you get the "Super 4G" version which is a mix between the international and NA 4G versions. It has the 4G capabilities and 2GB of RAM from the NA 4G version, but keeps the quad-core processor and superior Mali-400 graphics.

Not yet-- Google play store shows it has assorted bug fixes (for what is new)...

 

My phone is updating it now-- I will note that the original download was around 400 MB for me (if I remember correctly)-- the update is in progress and shows the download size as about 1.2 GB.

 

I have not played that one too much-- in fact still on Portland-- I have used a bug to get to Stuanton Island

 

It is possible I may be remembering wrong--- I could be remembering the download size when I installed on my droid x (on initial release)-- only to find it was on the play store incorrectly for my device which was NOT supported-- would startup but force close after opening credits. I recall the DL size because it took forever-- I was in a slow data speed place and installing over 3G.

Well it appears that 1.4 added compatibility with the Galaxy S3 which means that I'm finally getting the high detail vehicle models now with the chrome outlines and the 3d engine blocks that were originally made for the xbox version. Missing garage door texture still hasn't been fixed though. This is bringing my hopes up for a vice city patch. And the download size did increase from around 500MB. It seems that R* moved the app to google's servers to dl from the play store instead of dl from R* servers

I know this topic is old but does anyone else have missing interior textures in the Ocean view hotel, the mall, and strip club? If so I'm surprised no one has mentioned it here since that would be a bigger problem than these minor texture bugs you guys were talking about in this topic. I submitted a ticket but it seems Rockstar doesn't care to fix it. It looks like not enough people complained or even cares about it.

I also have a problem with the audio with the chainsaw. It cuts in an out and it doesn't sound how it normally should be.

Every time I use the apk editor to replace any files and install the generated apk I get a "Amazon appstore Unknown error" when trying to start the game.

I have GTA VC on my iPad and have never encountered this texture issue. This could be a bug associated with the Android operating system, or it could be specific to the device.
