The jet we saw in the first trailer differs alot from the F-16 type jet we saw in the screenshots. Many people said, Trailer 1 was still early and it probably was a beta model but I doubt so. So what do we got? Let's start off with the jet seen in the screenshots. It clearly is a F-16 Fighting Falcon modified with an F/A-18 type V tail. Because it's very close to the real life model, it wasn't hard at all to make a remodel of it: compare it to the screenshot: Almost identical. Now, what made me believe the plane in Trailer 1 is NOT the same aircraft: The plane in trailer one featured nozzles on the side of the fuselage, similiar to the Hydra of GTA San Andreas or the AV-8B Harrier II in real life. This means, a VTOL plane, just like the Hydra. However, given the fact, that new plane is not based on any VTOL aircraft, nor it has nozzles to go VTOL i doubt they would scrap a VTOL jet for a "normal" one. Here's the aircraft in Trailer 1: And again with the nozzles and the gear on the wings marked. (yes, not best, bla bla) Now, let's have a look at Trailer 2. At first I didn't notice. Now I did. In the scene where the jet takes out the helciopter(s), it's the exact same jet as the one in Trailer 1. Let's have a look at the cockpit frame: A lot differencies can be noticed. This fuselage/front resembles an F-35A Lightning II type aircraft. Comparison: The VTOL aircraft has a frame splitting the glass right above the panel: The F-16 type screenshot aircraft has a much bigger canopy with glass only: It's not really that visible, but you can see the frame (marked in red) is located BEHIND Michael, not in front of him. Another minor difference is the weaponry. The F-16 aircraft has fuel tanks and missiles, the F-35A/AV-8B only has missiles. You can see it for yourself, didn't feel like taking pics of that. BUT one really big difference everyone can notice: The intakes. The intakes are very different. The one on the F-16-like look like those of an... Well yea, F-16, located on the underside of the fuselage. What about Trailer 1 aircraft? they look like those of an AV-8B Harrier II. Check these pics: And one more thing: Remember the plane pictures seen in Max Payne 3? Take a look at the fighter jet: Yep. The same aircraft. And because of all those things we got now, I was able to create 2 3d models. Screenshot jet: Trailer jet: One more info, so you guys won't call out any wrong plane names: The jet of the screenshot is just an F-16 with a V tail. Not a damn F/-18 or anything else, just F-16. The trailer jet is a mixture of the F-35A and AV-8B. Front/Cockpit frame and the tail is taken of the F-35A, nozzles, wings and intakes are donated by the AV-8B Harrier II. Why would they show us one type of jet in the first trailer (what you're calling early beta?), redesign it for this screenshot, then revert to the 'early beta' version in Trailer 2, and then change it again for this and this screenshot? I'm hoping that each fighter jet will have its own advantages/disadvantages. This way people don't just pick the best one always. Kinda the way the buzzard was stacked in IV.
