dagangsta
I finished Mafia II on my PS3 and I'm not going to lie... it was not as good as I thought it will be. It pissed me off that you didn't have any free time, police was after you when you exceeded the speed limit and the physics was apsolutely sh*t, but it had great fighting expirience and really good story(prison, snow, changing vehicles). Whats your opinion and which of these would you like to see in V ?

MikeMyth
Missions were good. I didn't like the changing cars and everything it seemed too complicated. The story was a little short and you have to buy DLC in order to free-roam. I wouldn't mind changing seasons though. And to be honest the moves were fine while fighting but it was too easy to win. I think you had a little too much health as well, you could run up to someone and KO them in three punches while they have a Thompson '38.

Whats your opinion and which of these would you like to see in V ? The police wouldn't go after you if you enabled the limiter on your car which is as simple as pressing a button. I actually like the realistic way the police work on Mafia 2, a lot better and nicer to live with than the idiotic unreasonable cops on GTA 4. It wasn't annoying on Mafia 2 as police werent absolutely everywhere, like they are on GTA 4. But yeah, the fact Free Roam wasn't included in the standard game of Mafia 2 was f*cking atrocious. Literally, wtf?
FaceLessMind
I'd rather watch paint dry than play mafia II
Coral_City
My favourite topic, Mafia II. My issues with Mafia II: Story: Bland characters with no real progression Fighting: Obviously a simple system but way to oversimplify Shooting: It was okay DLC: Terrible. Literally just a slide show and ordered around like a dog. Additionally, a lot of the original content that was supposed to be in M2 was cut into DLC's. Jimmy's Vendetta? F*ck you. Other: Story driven game that did not allow players to explore (unless you bought GOTY edition); stupid outfits and cars that should have been in the game but cut into DLC; tons of beta missions that were supposed to be included but cut; city that was huge but was a yawn fest; some missions weren't even missions, literally just driving from one end to the other 4/10 Edit: While the game had it's merits, including the fun fire fights, good cover system, thematic missions, it falls short of being a real epic crime game that could have been so much more. Blackous666
i was hating on mafia 2 until i played it i think its a good game.. especially CZECH dubbing ... but it will never be better than GTA

DeafMetal
Mafia II is one extreme where I don't want GTA to go to. It is the polar opposite of Saints Row. I'd like GTA to stay away from both.

matajuegos
I'm not a GTA IV fanboy (in fact, it was disappointing) but I dare to say that Mafia II didn't even had a chance with IV, so why did you think about comparing that sh*t with V? tenpennyisplainevil
Why the hell do you bring an old mafia game up? It has absolutely nothing incommon with V and is pretty old now...

Stripes1981
Its really not all that good a game I'm jusst a sucker for it because I love Mafia stories and the story felt like Goodfellas and Casino to me but yeah the story is the best thing going for this game and I was even unsatisfied by it becuase it was way too short You could finish it in like 6 hours
huiop2
the graphics of mafia 2 is great, better than gta 4's. other than that it's really just an average game. and i don't think you should compare it to gta v which will obviously be 1 light year better. Lioshenka
Ignoring the fact it is a few years old now... It was a brilliant game in my opinion and in no way it could be compared to GTA (oranges v apples). Absolutely loved the changing seasons, the first few missions were just amazing, the whole winter wonderland. Didn't like the Summer much though. No real option to free-roam, and with the city of that size and quality this is a desirable feature. Can't complain on the handling, collisions weren't great though. The music suited the occasions good too. The graphics were ideal, at least I wouldn't want anything better. Small features, like cats jumping, cars with opened bonnets in the street, random people chatting in the street - nice addition Storyline was way to short for 32 quid I paid for it, but the game was of an outstanding quality. PS I started it a second time, now on the Hard setting. For comparison, only did IV once and couldn't stand it any longer Edited November 28, 2012 by ˸øåíüêà

Kirsty
We can't really compare two games when one of them isn't even released yet. But you can talk all you want about Mafia 2 over in Gaming Chat
