*there are discrepancies within the rules. Certain details do not highlight that certain roles don't allow you to kill other players in that same roll (eg. fellow demolition experts), for instance. SKEET SHOOTING	DETAILS
	We will beginning the night with a warm up game, and it will begin shortly before the actual event for early participants. Skeet Shooting is a simple but fun game. At the designated location, people will gather and send vehicles flying off the top of a Multistory car park, into a barrage of players below, all aiming to destroy the vehicles in midair with a range of rockets and explosives. One player will obtain the Maverick above the Booth Tunnel and bring it to the meeting point, so that players can use RPGs.

METALLIC BLAST BALL	DETAILS
	Welcome to a demolition derby crash course, but with an explosive twist. Teams will split into drivers and demolition experts. Drivers will gather at the field with the vehicle of their choice (excluding the APC, and helicopters), and when the game starts, the demolition experts will aim to destroy the opposing teams' cars in a traditional demolition derby (no weapons). Demolition experts will gather on the overpass to the north, and use explosives to help destroy their opponents vehicles. How split the ratio between the drivers and experts is, is up to you, although we advise each team have at least two-three drivers.
Game: Ballad Game Type: Team Deathmatch Location: Bohan Baseball Field Weapons: Explosives, Launchers Only Police: Off Friendly Fire: N/A Auto Aim: N/A Teams: Yes Points: 1st 5, 2nd 3, 3rd 1 Time/Rounds: 3 Rounds	Any odd players will be putting out fires at a distance, with the Fire Truck.

CAPTURE THE WHIP	DETAILS
	Each team will be given a police station to occupy, and each team will have to balance their attack and defense in order to protect their base, whilst attacking others. During the preparation period, each team must make sure that there is two police sedans at their base, that they will be required to protect. This will be the first vehicle that your opponents will try to obtain and take back to their base. This is known as the "Whip". Vehicles can not be purposefully destroyed at any point, but weapons can be used by drivers in the "Whip", as well as by the people chasing it. Attacking teams cannot bunk at enemy bases at the beginning of the game, and there needs to be at least one player to defend their team's base at any one point in time, to avoid (de)spawning. Only one "Whip" per base can be stolen at a time by a team. For instance, you can attempt to steal a "Whip" from two different bases at the same time, but not multiple vehicles from the one base. Multiple teams can steal a vehicle each if they are both attacking the same base.   Enemies can not use their police station's vehicles to give chase (as they are a part of the objective). Each "Whip" that is successfully stolen is a goal when it reaches your base, whereas if a team loses their "Whip", it deducts a point until it's returned. If a vehicle is destroyed by an opposing team, they will lose a point, until the defending team are able to replace that vehicle with a sedan of their choosing (PS3 players can inform teams of this change via text chat, and 360 players can do this via the in-game phone). Note that once a "Whip" is brought to a base, it now belongs to you, so if it were to be destroyed, it would be the other team being penalised. If a vehicle despawns, it can also be replaced, and the other teams must be informed. Replacement vehicles can not be attacked until they are in/on the base. Explosive weapons are not allowed either. There are 7 stations to choose from (Algonquin), but the main suggestions are also included in the game's details. Please try to make the bases evenly spread out and fairly placed, so that no team is at a disadvantage.   No additional vehicles can be added (only replacements) during play, and each team begins with 0 points, and your score can go into the minuses.
Game: Original Game Type: Team Deathmatch, Algonquin (Blips Near), Far Spawn Location: All Stations, Suggested Weapons: Any (None in or on "Whip") Police: Off Friendly Fire: Off Auto Aim: Off Teams: Yes Points: 1st 10, 2nd 5, 3rd 2 Time/Rounds: 45 Mins (15 Mins Prep)	Any odd players will vehicles to ram drivers (weapons can not be used). The neutral player should not be a target for any of the teams, unless it is to protect a vehicle, but teams can call the neutral player via the phone to let them know a vehicle has been stolen.

CARMAGEDDON	DETAILS
	Carmageddon is an alternative version of forum member swooner's Racers & Breakers event. Racers & Breakers splits players into teams, each with one racer and multiple breakers. Racers were given the objective of completing the race, whereas breakers cause havoc in order to stop opposing racers from finishing the race, as well as protect their team's racer from enemy breakers. Carmageddon ups the anti, adding weapons into the mix. Breakers can use any weapon at their disposal, whereas racers can only use grenades. Players can be hurt and killed on foot, as well as when they get in a vehicle again for the first time. Racers on foot can steal other teams' vehicles, or borrow a vehicle from a comrade. They can also use weapons on foot, and people can use whatever vehicle they wish. At the beginning of the race, breakers will go and get a vehicle of their choice, and wait at the north end of the track (avoid hitting check points). The race will then begin after a traditional countdown.
Game: Original Game Type: GTA Race Location: Street Kings Weapons: Any Police: Off Friendly Fire: On Auto Aim: Off Teams: Yes Points: 1st 10, 2nd 5, 3rd 2 Time/Rounds: 1 Race, 7 Laps	Any odd player will act as a neutral breaker (grenades are only allowed on foot).

ASSASSINS AND AVIATORS	DETAILS
	Assassins and Aviators imposes a post apocalyptic showdown in Algonquin's Middle Park. Teams will have one designated Annihilator pilot, who can roam the skies and use his turret on ground soldiers (and turrets only). They can use their, turret, body and blades on opposing pilots. If a pilot dies, they can not be killed on the ground, and must be allowed to go and get another Annihilator. Foot soldiers will use a mixture of sniper rifles and RPGs to win the game. Snipers can be used on opposing soldiers, as well as pilots, but RPGs can only be used on air traffic. Players will be given 15 minutes to organise their teams and locations, and at the 30 minute mark, the match begins. Players can not be killed outside of the Middle Park, and pilots can provide RPG ammo outside of the Middle Park area if they wish to (enemy pilots can not attack them when they land to do so).
Game: Original Game Type: Team Deathmatch (Team Blips) Location: Middle Park Weapons: Powerful Police: Off Friendly Fire: On Auto Aim: Off Teams: Yes Points: 1st 10, 2nd 5, 3rd 2 Time/Rounds: 45 Mins (15 Min Prep)	Any odd players will be a neutral pilot, whose aim is destroy other Annihilator. If there are odd players, pilots that are a part of a team can only hurt foot soldiers, and not opposing pilots, but foot soldiers can destroy an odd/neutral player's Annihilator.

 

15/20 Minute Break

 

DEATH RALLY	DETAILS
	Death Rally splits teams into drivers and demolition experts. Each team has one driver, and their aim is to lap back and forth from the Police Station near the Broker Bridge, and down beneath the Algonquin Expressway overpass. Although it's not that simple. Littering the building rooftops (including the Ron gas station) and overpasses will be players trying to stop the opposing teams with only pistols, machine guns, shotguns (non-explosive) and the grenade launcher (avoid positioning yourself on the ground/too close to the vehicles, for the sake of fairness; but you can move from your post to another position, or to replenish ammo). Each full length lap (from A to B) made equals one "goal", and these will determine what place your team finishes. When a driver is on-foot, they can not be hurt by demolition experts, but they can be hit by opposing drivers (who of which are not allowed any weapons). Additionally, once they get back in a vehicle, you must allow them a three second invulnerability period. Drivers can stroll off the beaten path to acquire health, but they must return to the track at the same place they left it.
Game: Ballad Game Type: Freemode Location: Broker to Dukes Weapons: Episodic, no Satchels/RPGs Police: Off Friendly Fire: Off Auto Aim: N/A Teams: Yes, 1 Driver Points: 1st 10, 2nd 5, 3rd 2 Time/Rounds: 30 Mins	Any odd players will use a bus/truck/bus to ram drivers. If there are 16 players, or if a host wishes to, the north checkpoint can be extended further north to the hill just before the bridge leading to Bohan (the bottom of the hill will be the checkpoint, but demolition experts can not position themselves further than the train tracks at the hill).

HOMECOMING: THE CONVEY	DETAILS
	This year's Xmas Bash will begin with a co-operative game mode, and will also end with one. Both of which are the only returning modes from previous years. All the other games are new and initially exclusive to this year's Xmas Bash. Homecoming: The Convey begins at Alderney State Correctional Facility, with the aim being protecting an escapee for as long and as far as possible. One player will be in a Flatbed/Biff, whereas everyone else will need to obtain a bike (choppers are preferred). Everyone arms up and then gets in formation in the Alderney State Correctional Facility car park. The escapee convict will go outside of the facility on foot, by themselves, and rack up a three star wanted level. They will then run back into their Flatbed/Biff, and the convey begins. Avoid explosives, and if you die/lose your bike, you can join back in with the vehicle of your choice. You can also get in the Flatbed/Biff or on/in another player's vehicle. Try to continue the convoy for as long and as far as possible. Once the escapee dies, the game finishes, and that will be the end of the year's festivities. You are free to stay online and play in a freemode with others if you wish to continue playing the game.

I really like the sound of some of these new game modes Guru. Especially Death Rally. I would advise prohibiting the use of explosive sniper rifles, RPG's and sticky bombs in that game type though as they might be overpowered even if players were a fair distance from the road. I think doing it with just small arms might work better tbh but explosions are always fun. A tough choice...

Thanks for the heads-up. I will be making a few tweaks to the preferences over the next few days, and that will include what weapons will be allowed (grenades and grenade launchers may be the only explosives allowed in Death Rally). Particularly Assassins and Aviators. Ballad has a surprisingly intruding amount of hindrances in regards to creating events/games.

 

If you guys notice any possible issues with the rules and preferences that could cause problems, let me know.

Last year I hosted this, and it was fun, but a nightmare. A lot of difficulty involved with trying to communicate to players without a headset, what to do and what not as far as I can remember. Because this year it's split into teams, that might make it harder still, depending on how well understood the modes are by everyone involved.

 

Anyways the topic looks good, except I don't understand the reasoning behind, the 12 vacancies on ps3 and 16 on Xbox? If anything this section struggles to attract Xbox players to events, yet the ps3'ers are always actively making and enjoying events together.

 

I don't wish to host this time around, but will definitely like to support it by taking part. (Good luck to however wants the task of trying to get everyone organised)

You raise a fair point with the issue pertaining to headsets, and therefore I may make it mandatory, although this could hinder the amount of available players for the PS3; but it hasn't been an issue so far, or at least not enough to warrant it being a necessity (the issue is non-existent on the Xbox 360 as well). Then again, you'd think interested applicants would have the foresight to not participate in an event that needs a huge amount of communication and co-operation, without a headset (especially more so now, with the event being split into a consistent selection of teams); or at least have knowledge of/access to the rules.

 

As far as platforms are concerned, for each year this event has been held publicly, the Xbox 360 portion of the event has always been the most popular, and in mutliple cases, vacancies have been made available due to it, and hence why there are more positions for it by default. The Xbox 360 platform has been full multiple times, and neither the PC or PS3 platform has achieved that. Although, you may say interest from both the Angels of Death and Exiles are to thank for, that is besides the point. It's why, not how. It also allows more people from the public to participate, when so many of the latter take positions; as I'd rather not have too many slots to begin with, but it really hasn't been an issue on the Xbox 360 due to the fact many of the people are familiar with one another/in the same circles. Even then, the platform is popular enough (or at least, it can be if people can be bothered), regardless of that, to warrant it an equal opportunity for players in regards to available positions; but as I said, due to the interest and past experience, the higher amount of available positions was done for the Xbox 360 purely to compensate.
