I can assert any 'fact' i want about V, and you can't prove me wrong, and if there ever comes a point where you could prove me wrong, i'll just bang on about another subject, claiming i have some special insight in to it and calling everyone else and idiot because they haven't jumped to the same irrational conclusion as me. Choco posted at least 30 posts on the matter showing right after the first trailer that LS is small - or barely the size of LC ( 2/3 more likely). Sorry, but if you think Los Santos will be smaller than Liberty city when the actual map is bigger than IV, RDR and SA combined, then i got bad news for you, you're wrong. First, every single preview said Los Santos is almost twice as big as Liberty city. Second, it's been clearly made obvious in the Game Informer Q&A that Los Santos covers more square footage, without including the countryside/desert as stated in the question, and you can't just say the question had no bearing on the answer, that is nonsence. It's funny because you are the wrong one here. How is he? Or are you just speakin' out your ass? I'm pretty sure Houser himself or someone at R* confirmed that Los Santos was just slightly smaller than Liberty City. Where in the previews, does it say that Los Santos is twice as big as Liberty City? Nobody ever considers that they have incomplete information etc, and are so over confident they feel the right to insult everybody, knowing full well that it doesn't matter even if they are wrong. If there is an official quote from Rockstar about the size, then i'll be inclined to believe that. Relative screenshots aren't always very accurate. Furthermore, i felt that LC was big enough if it had countryside around it it wouldn't have felt so cramped. We know that there will be lots of small towns and suburbs, and that the map will be five times as big as RDR, which was huge.. I'm not worried about the size at all. One article said it was roughly the size of LC while Q&A sad it was slightly bigger. There isnt much of South LS !!!!...FFS..its bordered by mountains. R* have rushed the city and concentrated on the countryside. The CBD is very close (30 seconds drive) to the beach...for gods sake . Its about 2/3 the size of LC. Please tell me English isn't your first language. Didn't you read the f*cking previews or watched the trailer? They didn't show South and Central Los Santos yet, i never flame people, buts jesus are you stupid, i bet you're one of the folks that thought Franklin was just a random pedestrain back in the Trailer 1 days, do you want to be proven wrong again? Los Santos itself is very different from the countyside naturally and thus will show a very different side to GTA as well, i think they want to keep that for later or as i said before...leave it to the player to find out. Everything else is yhe same place with different angles. I also have to say, I'm glad they are refraining themselves from showing many street shots. From what you saw, did Los Santos, the city itself (not including mountains/countryside/etc.) appear bigger than GTA IV’s Liberty City? Los Santos definitely covers more square footage, just as the sprawling Los Angeles metro area does compared to New York City. Franklin is from South Los Santos, so they will have it in the game. Really all i've seen city wise is downtown, bits and pieces of hollywood and beverly hills nothing more. Easily pleased sheep = cutdown city - why try harder eh R* . Im a big fan of the series but take some criticism kids - its nothing personal. 5 years for a game I will be somewhat bored with after a few months. Shame really...but why break the mould ?. No doubt it will be a good game, but worth a 5 year wait ? Oh and watch out for the car physics...I feel it will be a let down. Yeah..Il post my opinion ok ? Well considering it was a huge leap from San Andreas (Graphics, Story and Random Events) it was obviously going to be small so in about 2 Gta's maybe 3 the map will be small again but the graphics will be identical to real life. Eliston Posted December 2, 2012 Share Posted December 2, 2012 (edited) See the difference between the two cities (NYC & LA) is that LA has more lower density buildings scattered on a larger terrain, where as NYC has more higher density buildings scattered on a smaller terrain. So considering LS is based heavily on LA & the surrounding areas, it is quite obvious that LS is bigger than Rockstar shows. Besides, showing the entire city would just leave less for the imagination, and make exploring the map less enjoyable when the game is released.
