Are They Hiding Los Santos?

I live in the Mohave desert. In a aquiete sized town. It's natural for towns to be smaller out here. I'm also 200 miles away from from LA. Los santos haha. It's not that big either, compared to Chicago where I use to live.

So not as big as 1 island of GTAIV - sounds large eh Kifflom...

See, this is the type of poorly thought out and just stupid comment I was talking about. You need help Sclass/GKP, close that other account. It's against the rules.

NO, They just don’t want you to be pissed off of how small LOS SANTOS is

Typical idiot. dozingoff.gif It's the size of LC.

Yeah. Don't wanna be rude... But Los Santos doesn't have the size of your penis. Hahaha Kidding, don't take it seriously... Aaaaand, i don't do that type of jokes.

los santos is NOT small. Are you expecting Rockstar to show the whole of los santos to us? They know exactly what they are doing, when we get the game im pretty sure we'll be blown away by how big and imersive los santos alone really is, excluding the countryside.

The reason some of you think LS is small is the fact they have shown multiple angles of the same LS skyline with the skyscrapers. They haven't shown other areas yet because they want you to experience new areas on your own 1st play of the game.

I heard the city is as big as the old SA map. To me that is pretty huge.

Take another look at the old heli screenshot, which only shows 1/4 of the city.

Does it look small now? If you say yes, give yourself a palm to the face

That still won't convince some local idiots, even some who use their uneducated opinions as facts. dozingoff.gif

GTA 5's Los Santos is roughly the same size as GTA IV's Liberty City. Liberty City is about 4sq miles. Thats a great size for a city. Theres probably tons of interiors too. Lets stop the worrying. GTA 5 will blow us away, no matter what.

Thanks for agreeing with me on that. In the heli screenshot the buildings in the distance seem to keep going right to the horizon as far as you can see. LS is going to be massive and if you disagree, go and actually have a proper look at it again and don't base your judgment just on the trailer.

You obviously suck at doing your research, so here we go:

From what you saw, did Los Santos, the city itself (not including mountains/countryside/etc.) appear bigger than GTA IV’s Liberty City?

Los Santos definitely covers more square footage, just as the sprawling Los Angeles metro area does compared to New York City. But just like the real cities, if you’re wondering about the density of the downtown area, Los Santos proper is smaller than Liberty City. -Game Informer

If you're still not convinced, well then, you're really a hard headed mofo.

EDIT: And in case you're ignorant of what "density" means, it means how many people can fit into one area. Los Angeles is definitely smaller than NY as far as that.

Well now that that's... over mercie_blink.gif we can get back on topic.

As I've said before, I still think parts of north Santa Maria Beach and bits of Eastern Los Santos are being hidden. We've barely seen them.

@Choco Taco: You must be dense. It's not funny anymore, it's incredibly stupid...

Is it just me or does the city look bigger on street level?

Yes, I believe they may be intentionally hiding Los Santos. Perhaps it isn't fully complete, and they're still constructing it.

All evidence shows the city is around the size of Alderney and Algonquin combined.

As convincing as this looks, I must warn, perspective is a bitch.

Los Santos won't be smaller than IV's Liberty city, pay attention to the words in bold please.

Can't believe people are still discussing this, do half of the forum have terrible reading comprehension or what? Los Santos won't be smaller than Liberty City, how many times do i, or people have to explain this to the brain-dead trolls in this section?
