DeadZombie
No their far along, they've worked on this since 2008. (or at least according to the promotional posters). I think their in post-production stages. Fixing glitches, adding mini-games, adding articles of clothing. All smaller detail stuff. This. Read the news. Stick with it. fitbikesbmx
Content wise, they might be behind. Here's what I think. Compared to GTA IV, I think they are in way better shape considering how close they are to launch. I don't think they are having as many technical problems with the game because they have a lot more experience with next gen hardware now. That was what killed GTA IV's original release date. I'm sure they were pressured into giving some sort of release date, but the bottom line is, Rockstar would NOT give any hint at a release if they weren't confident they could deliver, especially given their past delay issues. I think they are still adding content to the game now such as mini games, vehicles, minuscule details, etc. I'm sure there is a lot of bug testing being conducted and lots of polishing is going on. Things may be removed during this process or tweaked, it just depends on how many problems they are having. Overall though, I don't think we need to worry about a delay, but don't expect it on the first day of spring, it might be closer to the end of the season instead. grandola
I think the single player is done. Sure, they're polishing it up, but most of the work right now is the multiplayer.
zeppelincheetah
testing, testing, and more testing. three multiple protags? that's hard to make work smoothly.

They have been done with single player for quite some time now and jut polishing it up. Multiplayer is probably what they're working on since they have chosen not to reveal any information about it yet

K20
might be deja vu... like GTA IV.... was delayed for 4 months i think... they pushed back the release date.
ARCHELEZ
I don't think they're behind. It's the biggest game they've ever created and by the time V comes out it will have been 5 years. IV took 4 years. IMO I say take your time R*, I want to play the perfect game that has ever been unleashed upon us.
jamieleng
I think there is a very small chance of a delay. They just said spring so they'd have a few months of room to finish the last few little things and all the big things are done. If they don't make it to fix the last few things, they'll fix it in a patch. R* doesn't do that.
meson1
Remember their most recent example, Max Payne 3. It's release date was announced Q4 2011 for it to be released in March 2012. It was only a matter of weeks later that they then announced slipping it to May 2012. That said, I do think they are determined to release GTA:V on time, given that they've held off announcing a specific release date. They've given themselves a good three month window. I suspect that they are on target-ish, but are still holding off an actual release date announcement for another couple of months. I reckon we will see a release date announcement along with another trailer by early Feb 2013.
FranticFatality
I expect a delay to come forward.
Showstopper 26
With V set to launch this Spring, but still without an official date, is R* further behind in devolpment than we think? No. I thought all along that they are behind. If they were on track that would have set a release date. They are still working on the game (Not polishing as many thought) This was confirmed from many interviews. One example is they havnt finished vehicle dynamics What?
