HOW'S ANNIE?
*Word "harm" in the title is a typo. Supposed to be "HARD" Ok, before you say anything, yes I do understand it may be a bit too early to talk about VI, since V hasn't even come out yet. Ok, I was thinking about how exactly another game set in Vice City would be, and it got me thinking how difficult it would be to do for two main reasons. 1) I doubt they would go to an 80s setting for a third time, so it would probably be set in a modern setting. But, real world Miami's culture is almost nothing compared to what it was in the 80s. It's almost nothing today. 2) The countryside. Yes, they don't need to include countryside, but if not fans will be complaining about nothing but a concrete jungle (which I have no problem with in previous installments, but the SA fanboys will cry over). But Florida has little to offer in the way of countryside and small towns. There aren't a lot of small towns, since most of South Florida is just one large urban sprawl. And the Everglades are nothing but swampland and small rain forest-like areas with no mountains. So there's not a lot it could offer. I mean, not that I don't want another Vice City set game (it's my favourite GTA setting afterall). But even for Rockstar, it seems as if it would be a challenge to do correctly. ccrogers15
Seriously? Doing it a third time with hurt the game? No. They did Liberty City tons of times, and look how good GTA IV turned out. Your topic is void.

Space Cowboy
Even recreating Vice city in 80s wouldn't be the same, since they would do a whole new city, but I doubt that will ever happen. I would like to see Vice City again, well we will see if Rockstar will choose it again, I hope they will.
Irrational
Well, the first GTA included Vice City in the 90's. I think it could be interesting if they pulled Vice City in the 70's this time.
zeppelincheetah
I don't think it would be too bad. As long as it's not 80's again. That would be beating a dead horse and rockstar's reputation would suffer for it. They are not a one trick pony, each time they want to do something new. If they included the keys and maybe tampa, south florida would be great. I personally think it would be tons of fun messing around in the everglades. Lock n' Stock
Maybe if it was set in the late 80s or early 90s (e.g 1988-1992) then it would probably work.
DarrinPA
They'd need to include the Florida Keys or something so it wouldn't end up being a concret jungle like you mentioned. Maybe even the Bahamas could be added if it was shrunk down into one state like GTA San Andreas was.
HOW'S ANNIE?
I think it could be interesting if they pulled Vice City in the 70's this time. Tbh, I don't really think that VC could work in yhe 70's- Miam's culture back then doesn't seem vibrant enough, if you get what I mean. I feel that if they ever do a GTA in the 70's it should be a Northern California (San Feirro & Oakland) about Vietnamies immigration and the rise in biker culture. Algonquin Assassin
If they were to do it again I'd like to see a portion of Cuba included too aswell as the Bermuda Triangle. Myths galore.
DarrinPA
Cuba, my dream GTA. The Driver series [Driver 2] made me addicted to that location.
huevos_benedicto_180
I completely agree with you on your first point. You can do as many games in the modern day as you want, but as soon as you go into the past you're limited artistically, and I think they exhausted 80's Miami. And I also agree that Miami today wouldn't be very interesting. I could be mistaken, but nothing about the place now jumps out at me. I do however think that there's plenty of opportunity for countryside if they were to do VC again, with the swamplands and everything.
acmilano
Everglades,Cape Canaveral,Palm Beach,Tampa(Cottonmouth),Club scene, parodies of Bad Boys,CSI and Dexter, even more immigration,Bahami Islands...they still can do a great game set in modern Miami. It sound more interesting than modern N.Y. and Los Angeles and they still coered those cities.
universetwisters
Florida has little to offer in the way of countryside and small towns You obviously have never been to Florida. Being from Ormond Beach, I can assure you we have as many small towns and farmland as any other state.
Hitman843
I think TBOGT had a bit of Vice City vibe.
HOW'S ANNIE?
I do however think that there's plenty of opportunity for countryside if they were to do VC again, with the swamplands and everything. I didn't really mean that there is anything wrong with the concept of swampland (I would love to go through there on a Hovercraft). But the countryside itself is pretty much completely flat, there are no mountains or anything really. @universetwisters, I'm talking more South Frorida (since I assume they would likely choose only it to use in another VC), which isn't as varied as the north-most parts.
