RomanBOY123
A few minutes ago I was watching the film called "Reservoir Dogs". it's about thieves which wanted to steal jewels from jewellery store. But their plan was failed and they was hiding in an abandoned storehouse. But they shot themselves cause of conflict. In the film I saw that scene. Is this remind you of GTA V? Also, do you remember the robbery scene in GTA V? It's in the 1st trailer then it was appeared on Pest Control artwork. So, I think it's the same plot. Did I find a reference to the film? The Notorious MOB
Yeah I pointed out the similarities after the first trailer. I actually forgot about that scene but it appears that the characters are in the wrong place. Michael should be where Mr. White (Harvey Keitel) is, Franklin should be where Mr. Pink (Steve Buschemi) is and Trevor should be where Mr. Blonde (Michael Madsen) is. Maybe they changed it so as not to copy the scene directly who knows. For anyone who hasn't seen the movie The three men are looking at a kidnapped cop in the trunk. A few minutes later Mr. Blonde ties the cop to a chair in a nearby warehouse and severs his ear off before trying to burn him alive.. just for fun. Hey maybe it's Officer Vasquez in the trunk

ChillyPhilly
What about Pulp Fiction? One less person. Used in Vice City as well, just before you kill Ricardo Diaz in the mission 'Rub Out'. http://static2.dmcdn.net/static/video/087/...?20110823211858 Either way, it's a definite Quentin Tarantino homage. Sizeway
Can't wait to see how this pans out. Maybe the three fail at the robbery mission and they have to gameplan, thus triggering the rappeling mission
jamieleng
Nice reference, already been mentioned. I might as well repeat what I said last time 'If Harvey Keitel was black, it would be virtually identical'.

He's used it about 6 times. But Resevoir Dogs is a film about a bank robbery

Ash_735
It's the classic Tarantino Trunk Shot, ...and I'm also deeply saddened by how many people here didn't notice that, now I feel old.
ccrogers15
I think, your a moron. None of those characters come close to looking like them. Shreddy Krueger
I think it's just an homage to certian films that perhaps inspired the plot/story of GTAV. I think around here we call it an "easter egg", no?

John The Grudge
I think its just a reference to the long cliché tradition of this shot being used in crime cinema. I'm going to have to agree with this guy.. It's a cinematic standard by now. I third that. Tarantino has used that shot in almost all of his films. It has been used for decades in films when a character gets something or someone out of the trunk of a car. Tarantino used that shot in Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill and probably his other films too. Scorsese used it in Goodfellas.
