LotusRIP
Just curious, Does the framerate of games you play on consoles get worse over time? Say for example, would playing GTAIV on a brand new PS3 as opposed to an early model be any different in framerate or overall performance? Is there ways to optimize or perform maintenance on consoles to make sure they're clean and fast? I'm just wondering really, I don't want to fry it out between now and V
Remix
I doubt it. There's so many factors that can affect the frame rate of playing on a console, that any frame rate issues from slightly older hardware would probably be undetectable by your eye. Have a look at google and see what other people say about televisions and frame rate. You'd be surprised how much a television monitor can change the frame rate of the game you're playing! lalalala93
The biggest issue for the consoles is thermal paste(goes for both 360 and ps3). When it's new it should run fine but due to sony and microsoft being cheap, they use thermal paste that dries out after 2 to 3 years of use and causes the console to get extremely hot making gameplay sluggish as hell then you would get the famous rrod or ylod. The simple solution is to use arctic silver 5 thermal paste instead. Edited November 28, 2012 by lalalala93
