Diego Delgado
Simply enough that in liberty city niko aquired 4 houses, that was packed into Liberty City.. with a map thats bigger then RDR, IV, and San Andreas together obviously we're going to sure as sh*t have properties obtained through missions or story completion. If their businesses or not remains to be seen but houses is a certainty
Freezer89
I couldn't give a sh*t about buying properties.. I didn't miss it in IV and I won't miss it as well in V (hopefully). With three protagonists we get three safeehouses from the beginning.. already enough for me. I understand the frustation of some guys.. but it definitely is not a major disappointment Buy The Sims instead if you really want this feature. Or just play Vice City /San Andreas again. Jimbatron
its all about more places to save your car, more choices to make, and customization Exactly, to add to this, being able to buy allows you to choose which areas of the city you would like to expand in to. jamieleng
I guess some people like to pretend they have a little property portfolio & they like to 'play house'. All I know is, I'd rather just have more & interesting interiors to the home's that each playable character owns. We've seen Michael's (the nicest), probably Franklin's (very nice looking apartment) & Trevor's will be an absolute sh*t hole (but a very detailed sh*t hole). Each of these will have lots of interesting features & mini-games in them (I'm hoping for a meth making mini-game in Trev's trailer)

blowtorchrepair
someone earlier posted that we just want more places to save the game and cars, etc. That's mainly it. In IV, starting the game at a different safe house sometimes gave the game a different feel. I just want a variety of safe houses to end and start a game from, such as: a desert crib, trailer house, high rise pent house, Malibu-like crib, and then the house in the hills that is at the start of the second trailer. And some kind of mountain cabin would be cool too. We all want our digital doll houses, full of guns and with phat rides in the drive ways, right? I'm sure R* will give us an interesting variety. Mister Pink
It's not like we are losing sleep over it. It's jus that a huge amount of us really looked forward to it. The game is only gonna come around every 5 years by looks of things now so if it's not in this game you only have to hope it come in 5 years time. Most of the people answered why we like buying property. I think it's sufficient enough for the people that don't care enough about it to understand why we like and I think we have valid reasons. The sensation of acquiring chunks of map for your needs and wants is amazing for me. Seeing that large house with the garage for the first time. Thinking I'd love to own that! It's out of my price range though, so every little crime you commit and money you steal all feels like its building up to a nice reward. I mean commiting crimes is fun but if have a goal to reach outside of the story, on a personal level, it's so much fun. SA was a very rewarding game. I want V to reward me in a more omni-dimensional way. RUBBΣR░J♢HNNY (スオッ)
Shoumaker
I hated the fact in GTA IV that I could only save upto six cars around the city, and this is only if you choose to kill playboy x and take his pent house. That is why I'm dissapointed.

Of course but I'm sure R* have thought of that. Or bypassed it completely by allowing you to buy 'Pink slips' (GTA equivalent of horse deeds) & whenever you want the car you can call Franklin to bring you it (or an employee if you're playing as Frank). Although I understand that having your cars proudly displayed outside your property is more desirable, Michael's Audi-alike looks nice sitting in the driveway.
