ayepocalypse
If this topic was covered....lock it Would anyone like to see skills back live driving, flying, boating, driving, motorcycle, and bicycling. Like for: Driving: Higher skills would make the traction better, handaling better overall and on wet road. Also less chance of flying out the windshield if it comes back. Flying: Better maneuvering, more stable, more control on stormy weather, better control when damaged. Boating: Better turning, a bit faster speed. Bicycling: Faster, Higher Bunny hops, fall less often, more traction when going uphill, easier doing tricks Motorcycle: Fall less often, more traction, better handling, better at doing tricks. I also enjoyed the school lessons and getting gold. They should come back to be able to raise them Also I think each character should be better at one thing than the others. (also would like it to be for weapons but you would be able to dual wield right away) What do you think? Algonquin Assassin
No. Not basic skills anyway. I don't want basics like driving to have its balls tied together like in SA because CJ was a sh*tty driver. In the G.I article it says Michael, Trevor and Franklin have their own skillsets and a more efficient in some areas than others. CallCenterZombie
It would be cool to have it but I don't think R* will put these skills in. It would be nice to "level" up in driving, shooting, punching, kicking, ect. but it just won't happen. Good idea and thought though.
DickieM
Levelling up is sh*t. Gaming skills are all we need.
Racecarlock
Why not just have the mechanics be just difficult enough to have a learning curve, but not be so hard as to be impossible? That way, the player will level up, not the character.
ayepocalypse
Yea I don't Really see them putting a "leveling system" but who knows. But what I would definitely want them to put random ped "missions" like in red dead.

As long as they take out that stupid crap where the ped not only chases you, but the mission is automatically accepted and if you don't do it, the game tells you you failed. Screw you, RDR, I'm not the town sheriff, now if you'll excuse me I'm going to get back to feeding the townspeople to that ever hungry lake. ayepocalypse
^^^ This is already in. Sweet, I sometimes enjoy them more than the actual missions. Just seems more realistic

ThisIsHorosho
...if it gained just AS slowly as in San Andreas, then no! thanks...and the way skill increases should work differently as well, if i want to increase some specific skill, then i should be able to enter some kind of scripted sequence of events, which would allow me to concentrate on increasing those skill, without abandoning those chain of scripted events...so if i want to max out my shooting skill for example, i should be allowed to do so in one go, without waiting while i complete like half of the storyline till it maxes out... Signal1
It would be great if you were required to reaxh a certain skill level before you could complete some missions. Make you work some side and or dynamic missions to get your skills up to scratch for the big jobs. Example, lock picking or safe cracking. You couldnt crack a bank safe until which ever characted had that skill was skilled enough to do it. All about forward planning is GTA V. Apparently. Durden
I'd like skills; they'd give me something very time-consuming to do during free mode. By the 10th mission I'd have all my skills maxed out
Triple Vacuum Seal
As long as I'm not required to dual wield weapons for the remainder of the game like some kind of clown just because I'm "advanced" enough then I'm fine. I doubt that it will be back too. "shut up, sit down, relax"
a. outlandish
schools no. skills yes. both the different skill sets and gaining ranks for each skill. if schools will be in, then make those as side activities. not story-must-be. and please if I'll maximaze the handgun skill, no akimbo and bigger no for gangsta style gun holding.
