Microwave
Remember San Andreas where you infiltrated into Madd Dogg's mansion to steal his rhymes, or climbing down from the rafters to ice Jizzy? I was disappointed in IV where stealth was not implemented. I think we would all love it if they could include stealth to GTA again. The screen shot of Michael repelling and that suit might suggest they might put it back.
stranger44
I sure hope so but I wouldn't hold your breath. I'd like to think they'd work this directly into the AI meaning characters have a distinct line of sight/cone of vision. This would make for awesome gameplay when trying to evade the police. You could try and break their line of sight and then hide in an alleyway or somewhere. It'd be brilliant if when they lost you, they'd actively search the immediate area similar to the clearing mode in MGS2 when the guards are looking for you. There's something about the whole "They always know right where you are because they're aiming an all seeing government satellite directly at you 24/7" gameplay that just doesn't cut it in 2012. If you're being chased by a helicopter, then fine of course they'll know where you are, but when you can't even hide around a corner without an enemy automatically knowing where you are, then something is very wrong. A mission dedicated to evading the police would be awesome. Or you could choose to shoot the living sh*t out of em if you want. The game should never force you into just stealth. TheMisanthrope
After playing Hitman: Absolution, I have realised how entertaining being a stealthy assassin is and you don't have to be stealthy you have a choice. So YES I would love stealth to be included or at least give us an option of doing so. They need to include a silenced pistol, or bring back the special move with the knife from GTA: SA where he slits their neck. I won't necessarily be upset if they don't include stealthy gameplay but it honestly would make it just that more interesting and worth playing the storyline again. Anabolic
Yes, bring back the sneaking missions, but only if the sneaking is done by Trevor.
73duster
I LOVE stealth! It WAY more fun to kill people without detection. I miss games like Syphon Filter, which was the best series in terms of stealth, IMO. Hitman is ALSO great. The Warriors and Manhunt had smaller elements of stealth, and were JUST as fun. Sneaking up behind someone and snapping their neck is the most awesome feeling. I spent countless hours doing that in The Warriors. Stealth would increase the replay value of this game tenfold! matt19811
if they create the fun of manhunt in freeroam i'd be happy as sh*t. Add rapelling and assassins creed climbing and you have a winner Edited November 28, 2012 by matt19811
packardcaribien
I'd like stealth and even some hitman-ish disguises in the appropriate missions. I'd never want R* to force the player into a stealth mode, but having it as an option (sniping could also be an option; planting a bomb etc.) is great for replay value and it supports varied playtypes and player freedom. Durden
I'm pretty excited for stealth in GTAV -- it should be a good change in pace compared to IV where its all "kick down the front door" playstyle only.
