the supposed gun customization, I really wish it doesn't get scrapped like many other features in previous GTA titles.

The same feeling that SA had, the size, the variety, lots of wasteland to explore ... that was the most fun of GTA SA for me, other then the history or activities, the size and variety was amazing. I could just play for ours just messing around and exploring it.

The best confirmed news...... its really hard to pick.

I was excited when the desert and mountain areas were confirmed.

I was excited when fighter jets were confirmed too..

You people are so basic.

Size of the map really impressed me, and then there is the addition of random encounters that ill occur throughout the world.. I can't wait for those, they make it seem like the world hasn't completely died after you finish the main story.

I'm also very happy about the inclusion of Trevor, and that they said their focus was on making a fun vibrant economy and that they wanted to give the player lots to do after the story has finished.. This is important.

mine is the fact that r* are focusing on 'things to spend money on', since it will make the game 100X better, the urge to commit robbery, like cash vans, and all the other things they'll probably include, like sticking people up, robbing regular corner stores, etc...  ghetto ways to make money. and then actually having things that are worth spending it on, this means you'll actually be doing it for the money, and not just for the fun of it.

this alone, to me is what will make gta v better and more replayable than any game they've done so far. these robberies will be much more interesting when you know theres a point to it, if it was gta iv, it'd get boring quicker because all those cash robberies youve done result in more and more money which has basically no use, which defeats the whole point of doing the robberies.

so, yeah, thats the best confirmed news i've heard. im happy.

I agree.Things to spend money on and a fun and vibrant economy.

As long as its not only an end game economy.

I want to be able to buy and sell to make a profit etc during the story.

How they will do this without being able to buy buisness properties we will have to wait and see.

Fingers crossed it wont be a dissapointment.

Hmmm, the only thing I have "heard" that makes me excited is the dynamic events.

Other than that nothing I have "heard" has blown me away, rather what I have seen is very impressive

Can you explain the dynamic events? I think I read somewhere giving the example of: A worker of a lawn service will be on the streets looking for a taxi/bus to work and later that day you might see him working on a lawn. Is that correct?

No. In Red Dead Redemption they had dynamic missions which would trigger anywhere in the world.

Some examples are, a guy would run to you and say his wife was kidnapped, you follow him a very short distance to where the bandits have her tied to a tree and shoot the rope.

A woman would act distressed at the side of the road and ask for help, then when you approach, bandits attack you.

They were quite basic, but it's easy to see how they could be expanded upon and made a bit deeper.

The examples they gave for V, were a security van pulling up and you can choose to rob it, or you will pick up a hitchiker on the side of the road, or come across an abandoned car at the side of the road maybe a drug deal turned sour or something..

I'm only paraphrasing here but that's the sort of thing you can expect.. In RDR they happen indefinitely even after the story.. They happen all over the place and make it feel like the world is still alive.

If they make a much wider variety of more complex, dynamic encounters, the game will be extremely imersive and just exploring the world becomes infinitely more fun, knowing that a situation could emerge at any time.

the best news I heard was I read that this game is going to be bigger than GTA San Andreas, Red Dead Redemption, and GTA 4 Combined!

GTA V's map is bigger than GTA IV, San Andreas and Red Dead Redemption combined (including interior and exterior spaces together).

I think the dynamic encounters will be like the side missions in GTA IV, the ones where you travel to a man or woman icon and end up getting wound up in business that has f*ck all to do with the main story, the only difference is maybe they wont use the man/woman icons and these encounters just pop up from no where, it is another very interesting inclusion im looking forward to, since these little bits and bobs add to the experience a lot.

...best so far? well...i guess that would be the map size, landscape variety (i'm freaking tired of nothing but tall buildings...you know what i mean...) and fully detailed and explorable ocean with scuba gear...but its still not enough for me to like this game, i want to know about weapons system before deciding!...

Whether it's three protagonists or a very big map - I'm not sure on which one I put a bigger smile, but they both please me very. But actually, when I think about it longer, it occurs to me that the real best news I've ever heard so far is the announcement of the new game by marvelous Rockstar Games.

r0eladn well in that case its very very inappropriate time and place for such a wasted opportunity...because i was basically talking how the weapons will work and be managed in GTAV, not about some silly sh*t i don't give a damn about...

You said you wanted to know about weapons system before deciding.

Thats not talking how the weapons will work and be managed.

And even if you were, YOU were the one who who tried to get off topic since that is not the discussion here.

But you probably werent serious lol.
