poiuytrew
you can search up gang territories on google maps? lol I f*cking love google with all my heart i'm pretty sure it's just something someone has done of their own accord, its not something done by google at all, so i can't vouch for finding anything else specifically, but you are welcome to find it if you can, if you can get some maps of the north of the city, i'd really appreciate it
BasedJACK
I didn't even know the gang that was in my neighborhood until now .
Papi Chulo
Who ever made the gang map did they reasearch , because its hella accurate ,even got nayborhood on there & the surrounding boundaries lol nice find. But on on topic though.. If you guys think there ain't gonna be gang presence in South Los Santos , clearly none of y'all been to L.A.. Every hood got niggas posted up every building, every turf u push through you feel the gang presents , smokers pushing carts, writing on the wall, hoods whacked on the side walk ;if you ain't know where you at. Trailer 2 clearlir shows 2 gang related shootings . If you ain't getting the picture maybe you need prescriptions . they are dated though, showing hustler crips as not part of neighbourhood, then again, i have no idea if that merger is still working #True. The 100s consist of many clicks 1 of em just so happens to be hustler, but they push hustler before NH. Hustlers on east tho strickly HC never NH. poiuytrew
(all statistics either taken from wikipedia or streetgangs.com, many numbers will be rounded off, so if the maths doesn't work, this is why) ok, these maps show, 230-240 african american gangs, and about 170 mexican ones (although there are many missing, the county total is supposed to be around about 400-500) now, there are supposed to be around 120,000 gang members in los angeles county (meaning 1 out of every 80 people is in a "gang" of some sort) the racial splits on this are supposed to tally to around 60,000 hispanic peoples, 35,000 african american people, 15,000 "white" people and 10,000 asian people hispanic people representing not only the vast street gang aspect, but also a small organized crime and cartel presence, african americans in a similar sense to the hispanic group, mostly street gangsters, marginal organized crime elements, white people would mostly fall into technically white visible minorities (armenians, israelis, persians, russians, italians) and their organized crime, white supremacist crime elements, bikers, and the odd hillbilly/trailer trash crime organization (how ever loosely that term is applied), the asian aspect would walk the gambit from hong kong connected triads to south east asian pseudo crip/blood gangbangers these maps show there is a very large concentration of gang activity in the greater south central area, including compton, this area has around 170 african american gangs/sets, and 150 hispanic ones, with a combined membership of around 50,000 (ie, slightly under half of the gang members in the county), these 170 groups represent the majority of hardcore african american gang activity in the county (not to say there are not hoods outside of it who do not have incredibly violent reputations, the venice shoreline crips for example) and a large percentage of the hardcore hispanic gangsters now, these maps show, around 125 crip sets (19,000), 45 blood sets (7,000), and 150 mexican gangs (22,000), however, these are deeply fractured groups, the crips around 7 different internal factions (which are not necessarily fully aligned), the bloods 2, and the mexican gang element wildly varies from incredibly large organized groups of sets, very large individual gangs and very small crews who control a few streets at most, and will be locked in struggles with many similar enemies there are, as the maps show, 27 neighborhood crip sets (an internal alliance the crips), 26 compton crip sets (a geographical subset), 25 gangster crip sets (another crip alliance, mortal enemies of the neighborhood crips), 26 blood sets, 20 piru sets (a primarily geographic faction of the bloods, mostly in compton but have sets elsewhere that fight with bloods) 8 hoover criminal sets (former crips who gave up the crip name due to its many rivalries, now wear orange), 7 mafia crips sets (a smaller crip alliance, often uses yellow to identify themselves), 7 hustler crip sets (another smaller crip alliance, which has connections to the neighborhood crips), not to mention 24 unaffiliated crip sets in the area as can be seen above there is massive internal division in the african american gangs in the cities south, but the mexican gangs are in an even more self perpetuating rivalry, given that of the 150 sets, half of the gang members are in 1 of 20 sets, affiliated to large semi autonomous factions under the sureno banner, while the rest vary from very small groups of very capable drug/arms dealers or pimps, to groups who do little more than smoke bad weed and spraypaint things at night, the larger gangs (18th street, ms 13, florencia 13, the playbos, 38th st, etc.) will generally make larger amounts of money and thus exert much influence over the smaller weaker mexican gangs, who will often be dwarfed by the black gangs they share hoods with, however, given the fluid nature of the rivalries between most sureno gangs (who only unify when in jail) they often find themselves stuck between the leadership of the mexican mafia, and the whims of the larger mexican gangs in the area (who pay less attention to la eme hefes) all in all, while this situation is much too complicated to replicate in a game, given that rockstar put nearly 60 gang territories in its previous los angeles, i think that the scope of the situation in the city, would make this number a possibility again, a small increase in the number of gangs perhaps, for a greater depth to the small differences between them, i think it would make for a very immersible world, even if we don't have much to do with them in the story line, but hey, what is dlc for? JPichay
There are African-American and Hispanic gangs outside the South Central and Long Beach Areas in Los Angeles though. Why isn't there a map of the gangs in the city of LA, San Bernardino County, and other surrounding areas?

INEEDVNOW
It's not done by google. You can make your own interactive google map area's and put in whatever you want. It's a cool adition to maps though
Ss4gogeta0
Amazing that goggle maps has the localities of the gangs etc for a bunch of retards with guns, it's pretty impressive. it's hardly impressive, they've barely scratched the surface of the mexican gangs, no maravilla, no north los angeles or valley, they might all basically be surrenos, but damnit, it would help illustrate a point I heard that Latin Kings (From Chicago... not those $kraps in LA) were in the San Bernadino Valley although they were silent for the most part...
