ok, these maps show, 230-240 african american gangs, and about 170 mexican ones (although there are many missing, the county total is supposed to be around about 400-500)

 

now, there are supposed to be around 120,000 gang members in los angeles county (meaning 1 out of every 80 people is in a "gang" of some sort)

 

the racial splits on this are supposed to tally to around 60,000 hispanic peoples, 35,000 african american people, 15,000 "white" people and 10,000 asian people

seems that way, 1 out of every 11 people in los angeles county lives in either south central or compton (900,000 out of 9.9 million), and given that 50,000 gang members live there, if rockstar is being accurate, 1 out of every 18 peds would be a gang member

the maps do cover most of those areas, but as i pointed out, they are lacking when it comes to hispanic gangs in the north and east, but as i said previously, south los angeles is the highest concentration of gangs in the county by a long way

it's hardly impressive, they've barely scratched the surface of the mexican gangs, no maravilla, no north los angeles or valley, they might all basically be surrenos, but damnit, it would help illustrate a point
